    Jim,

TipoPils is an excellent beer and I am glad that I got a chance to drink it but it is a very pricey beer. I paid $22+ for a four-pack of 12 ounce cans. Given this price point this will not be a repeat purchase for me.

    Cheers!

Haven’t read it in a while but doesn’t Noonan talk about adding a dry hop “tea” after extended lagering? He also mentions krausening after lagering as another way to increase hop presence. How long are you goi g to lager for?

As much as I like a traditional Czech or German pils and usually avoid hoppy American pilsners I really enjoyed the Oxbow Luppolo Italian Pilsner I had last week. Made me want to brew a dry-hopped Pilsner.

Haven't decided on a course of action yet. Kind of in a holding pattern.

What did you pay for this beer?

I took note from the most recent BA review of this beer: "Way too fucking expensive though..."

    Cheers!

$7 for a 13oz pour at the Bayberry Beer Hall in Providence, RI. It was actually one of the cheaper options that night.

I'm going to be doing a dry hopped Pils tmro. The plan is to ferment cool, ramp up for D-Rest and to finish strong, transfer beer to keg on dry hops, keep at 66 for 3 days, then crash it in the keg under pressure. After it chills and carbonates some I will jump it to a fresh keg with gelatin in the bottom and let it drop bright as carbonation finishes.

Based upon posts I have read on BA this looks like Boston prices. I suppose New England is not a place to drink beer inexpensively?

    Cheers!

Earlier this evening I went out for some beers and dinner with my wife. We both got pints of Firestone Walker Pivo Pils beers for 4 bucks (Friday night special). These beers are typically $6 a pint.

Yup, homebrew is indeed the 'best' deal but I was happy to drink $4 pints of Pivo Pils.

    It's all good!

    Cheers!

And it doesn't specify when the dryhop addition is added.
