Newcomer checking in...impressed with their IPA lineup and vibe. Very chill place with some high quality brews...

Left to right: Hazy Glue, Hazy Train, Saint Thomas, Dankness on the Edge of Town, Pulp Free. Also had not pictured, Directions Unclear.

Yeah, Fieldwork is great. Saint Thomas is my jam, I still have one can left in the fridge!

Man, I bought 12 St Thomas cans in a rare bulk purchase and.... they were gone in 4 days. This batch was awesome.

My sister got the last two cans at the San Ramon location, so I couldn't stock up quite that much

Fieldwork does some of my favorite single hop single IPAs in the game. Galaxy Juice, Pulp (Citra), Saint Thomas (Mosaic), Chaos Emeralds (Simcoe)...

I was also a huge fan of Orchard Street (Amarillo) 2 - 3 years ago, but I've had a couple of subsequent batches that were totally not the same.

Really appreciate the heads up, grabbed a couple of ST crowlers from San Ramon today based on y'alls posts, pretty much right before it kicked. Oh ya, so glad I did. They threw in an extra crowler because they were out of Hazy Train which I tried to order, man what a bunch of nice folks!

Definitely let us know how that goes! I did St. Thomas and Turok side by side and, while loving them both, preferred this batch of St. Thomas for sure.

I may be the minority but I've enjoyed the more WC-leaning St. Thomas of the first year they brewed it compared to the hazier ones I've had since. But I haven't tried this latest batch, so they may have improved.

Turok Juice ... Batch 1 (6.6% ABV) was probably the best Mosaic beer I've ever had. I've been a little disappointed with all the batches since. Maybe because they were larger batches, due to the cannings? Also, even though Batch 2+ were all over 7%, I felt like the taste was muted compared to the original 6.6.

I have enjoyed both versions of Saint Thomas. You are right though, the current color and clarity of Saint Thomas is far different from 2015/2016.

Here is a pic I took back in about 2016. Saint Thomas looking clearer, brown and west coast.

Just sampled this, didn't care for it at all. One dimensional for my palate and preferences...boozy. Bummed, though the Clear of a Dank Planet was great consolation prize!

I'd heard a rumor they were going to do this, but cool to see it actually happen!

(Pickup time selection seems broken, though)

I thought it was just ok when I stopped by at lunch to get crowlers of St. Thomas (needed more of it) and Virtual Planetoid (Always one of my favorites). Definitely boozy, and tasted...fruity? I realize most flavors of the new school hops are akin to fruit (mango, pineapple, papaya, starfruit, etc), but this was a generic "fruitiness" I wasn't a fan of.

Definitely one of the best batches of St Thomas I've personally had, my crowler isn't gonna see the light of day.

So happy they're trying out the online release... hoping it works and becomes part of the process.

Thanks for pointing that out! I thought I'd noticed it getting hazier over time but didn't have any proof.

    Hey Guys,
A little off topic, but I am looking for some input here. I am heading up to Sara Cruz/Monterey area this weekend, and was wondering if anyone can shed some light on the Fieldworks location in Monterey. Last time I was in the area, I was only able to stop by Alvarado street. I was only was able to hang for a few, since I was on my way from SARA to Cambria.
Since I am staying in Monterey this time, I plan on spending some time at the new Yeast Of Eden location in Carmel, but would also like to check out Alvarado again or Fieldworks depending on feedback.

    Cheers,
    Anthony

Fieldwork in Monterey is right down the street walking distance from Alvarado. It’s all outdoor and was pretty cold last weekend when I went. If you rarely get a chance to have Fieldwork beers, I’d say you should take the opportunity since it’s so close to Alvarado.
