I will have a Sunday afternoon free in Grapevine, TX before being locked into a work conference for the week. Cab will be my only means of transportation. I'm looking for a good place to spend several hours by myself watching the football games that has good food and craft selection. I've seen Mellow Mushroom recommended, but I have one of those at home, so it's not what I'm looking for.

This thread might help, but I'm not sure if all of those will have TVs and/or football on.

I'll be here at 7:30 to watch the Bears. 7-8 local taps. Reasonable prices. Good burgers and tacos. Other good stuff too.

I'll be the big guy at the bar in a blue hat.

Gingerman in Southlake is not a bad approach if not mellow mushroom. Main street Grapevine area is kinda null now since Grapefest is going on, but if you wanna sneak into Tolberts down there thats a good place too. Other than that, head to Grapevine Beer and Wine, grab a new brew to you, then hit up Whataburger for a quick fast food dinner to go, take it back to your hotel and watch the game on your tv there.

Mellow Mushroom is your best option for DFW beer selection in that area. Not a ton of great options with both good beer and food. There are several good restaurants in Southlake and you could hop over to Mellow Mushroom for beer afterwards. Not really what you are after but there's not a great place in the area that fits what you are after.

Tolbert's actually has a pretty good selection now and occasionally limited stuff as well. Its on Main St too which makes it very convienant.

Thanks for the suggestions. I went to Peace Burger early in the afternoon first. I wasn't hungry yet so skipped on the food. They had about 6 - 8 local taps, so I tried a few of those. Then I realized that In-n-out was across the street so I grabbed a burger there. I made my way over to Main St which does have a few places to choose from. I settled on Tolberts. I definitely give them props for the beer selection. In addition to locals, they had Alaskan and Firestone Walker which I can't get at home. Great chili there too.
