Well glad I found a bottle tonight. Still plan to hit a local Jewel before work but not getting my hopes up.

Binny's should have them at 9am multiple locations are saying.

Agreed, not to threadjack this, but just a quick comment that I often think why most beer loving people initially join Beer Advocate is that they are looking for info for the beers that they want. IMO, I think people end up getting smarmy and snarky because they think they're funny and good chance they're bored at home.

To this day I've never understood trolls. I think Chris Hardwick is reasonably funny, and in one of his standups he mentions trolling people. Just never really got it. Fuck trolls. If you're only interest is to get a rise out of people, I hope you get all the karma that's coming to you. Never understood deriving enjoyment from making other people feel shitty. Schadenfreude on the other hand - that I get!

Apparently on tap at Sheffield's now pre-release.

 

Most of the “pre-release” ratings have been solid. Some people that haven’t had it may be expecting a maple bomb which it isn’t, it is much more subtle and integrated. With that said, haven’t had this years so can’t compare to last batch.

 

Wow. The Open Bottle was told they couldn’t tap it til Friday (meaning a midnight tapping). Must have had a favor

They do seem to have "dibs" on them all. I am sure it will only be MI plates at Founders tomorrow.

This isn't BA Expo. Natives know they will have plenty of access to this one, and aren't so worried about outsiders.

The funny thing is, I'm relatively new to this rather humerous back-and-forth between IL and MI. I just couldn't help since it came up at least every 5th post in the BA expo thread. Haven't seen it much anywhere else except recently in the "Prop for Chicaga brah" posts.

 

This is a great attitude to have...everyone should love people coming into their community, spending $$ & having a great time.

Provincial attitudes are stifling & no fun.

This reminds me of someone on the Bourbon County thread that wanted people to show Illinois ID's to get Prop...no man, everyone's welcome in Chicago, please come to try and try to get some beer, and while you're here have a blast in a great city.

I'm coming to Grand Rapids for the CBS release & I'll be record shopping, buying coffee from Madcap, eating the best Asian food I can find & having a great time.
