Looks like he hit the ones going. I wish you could try some JWB, Rapp, or Gravity Brewlab.

would be nice if anyone could try those beers....especially the people that gave $$ to his crowd-funding....but that's for a different discussion..

No surprises for most of you, but I like to focus on breweries that I know, but don't normally get to drink. Pour lists for all of them on my blog

New Belgium might seem pedestrian, but they bust out some crazy stuff at their booth...and it's usually big enough that lines don't form either. The sour they brought last year was the 2nd best beer I had at the event (behind BA Narwhal). I can't recall the name, but it was phenomenal. Back in the day they would bring beers like La Folie, Eric's Ale, Le Terroir, etc. long before they were readily available.

Gabf will not let us pour beer from the floor to go outside the hall. Plus that is the last keg of 2x4 more In the tanks getting dankness. 4x8 will be on the floor pouring till it's gone. But if you ask the right person you might be able to get a bottle of crazy hop fuck double ipa makes 2x4 look like a pale ale.

Bummer to hear. I had emailed the brewery a few weeks back asking about it and it was mentioned to be there. I had 2x4 last year at Backcountry and was blown away by it. Even seeked it out when I was in Seattle/Bellingham last week lol. Dying to get my hands on a growler of it, but sounds like I'll be having to try some of the 4x8 at GABF.

Any details on the Comrade event mentioned above?

We sent beer to be poured at backcountry, not sure when. The beers are listed in the above thread. Better get there when they tap the double ipa as it's only a 1/6 bbl. if you like 2x4 you will love this.

Superpower IPA, Superdamp Wet Hop IPA, Donny APA, something we're calling Kung Fu Malt Liquor (it's a working title, you'll have to go to Backcountry to find out what else is in it, but it's based on a firkin we made a while back) and maybe, just maybe, the last keg of Comrade Kirk McHale's Crotch Grabber CDA.

I hope I don't regret saying this but my hidden gem from last year was The Wrecking Bar Brewpub (in the brewpub section obviously). Just one of the random booths I stopped by that blew me away. Since I've only tried their beers once, actually several times over a few days , I can't speak for consistency but all of their beers were extremely solid and some blew me away. I'm pretty sure the people pouring were sick of seeing me over and over again. I believe this is one of the beers they were pouring http://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/25800/103433/. If you stand btwn me and this beer I may knock you down...or politely ask you to get the hell out of my way.

Some of the "bigger" breweries that I found without any lines
-Pelican- no line for MOAS on multiple nights
-Captain Lawrence (if they're there this year)- same as above for Rosso E Marrone
