Searching around the Southwest forums is good and helpful for the area in general, but DFW is a very big area so I don't know how well you'll find advice for your trip there. Any advice is very location specific.

BUT you'll be around the Cowboys Stadium. That's in Arlington next to Six Flags and the Rangers Ballpark. I can definitely give advice localized to that speaking as I live just about 4 miles from the stadium.

One mile away is both Legal Draft Beer Co and Division Brewing. They are right on opposite sides of a railroad track so you have to drive around to get between them.

Legal Draft is a family friendly location with a good collection of easy drinking as well as more adventurous beers. My favorite beers from them are their helles lager, Oktoberfest, and schwarzbier. But they also have a pretty good Citra IPA and other takes on the IPA realm that varies on release.

Division is more where the self ascribed "beer geeks" on social media flock to in Arlington. They have a wall half full of various types of IPAs, they also always have some sour beers. Sometimes have flavored stouts.
They also sometimes have a dark mild. It's a smaller place than Legal Draft so while they have no problem with children if you have ones that need space to play then it may not be the best choice.
There is also a record shop and comic book shop with a door open to the breweries patio you can puruse with your beer.

If you're up for a bit of a drive Turning Point is 20-30 minutes north in Bedford. They are the premier location to get NEIPAs in DFW. They model themselves after the big names with can releases building lines.

New Main Brewing is also in Arlington about 6 miles from the stadium. They are very new, and brewing on a pilot system so knowing which of their beers will be on tap is unpredictable. But they always have good guest taps along with a great comfy conversation room. So far their porter and red ale have been very good.

For non breweries Kool Keg and On Tap are two growler bars within a couple of blocks of either Legal Draft or Division.
