So i was searching for some help on the time period between when they bottle FBS to the Best By they print on the bottle.
I found some FBS with a best by of 26/08/14. Any idea on when this would have been bottled so i can figure out a rough aged.
    Cheers

Are you sure that's not a born on date. Last I knew founders uses born on and not best by. IMO KBS can be aged for awhile I'm gonna at least save one of my four for 5+ years.

OP is from Australia, so perhaps founders dates the bottles with a best by, instead of a bottled on?
Not sure the time frame, but possible that the FBS was bottled last year?

Yes that may be true but it still seems weird they would have a Best by date on a beer you can age.

They do "bottled on" dates. They apparently do dating European\military style for overseas. Yours was bottled on the 26th day of August of 2014. This would be in line with normal time frame. My last bottle from 2013 was bottled Aug 22. The ones I have picked up so far this year, the first week of Sept. They hold up/age very well.

perhaps a picture of this bottle can put an end to the assumptions most of us are making here?

Yeah you will find all their stuff has a best by date. I was drinking a can of centennial last night and it had a best before printed on the bottom of some time in May. Maybe a law in Australia where you have to have best by/before. Also we always have the euro dating. DD/MM/YY unless it's a grey import

It's a best by date. The FBS in Australia right now is from last years batch.
