Looking to see what the top five local Breweries available in the area are as well as the top three beer stores to pick them up to bring back home with me. Cheers information is much appreciated
Top stores for beer: Specs on Smith D&Q Whole foods on Voss/post oak Central market My personal fave 5 Houston breweries Buffalo bayou: for their creative variety and interesting stuff they put out Lone pint: for arguably the best IPA in the Houston area - yellow rose Saint Arnold: consistent/oldest/safest for a regular lineup and dare I say at times a tad boring Karbach- decent IPA and DIPA 8th Wonder- their rocket fuel coffee Porter is delicious I would also add Galveston bay brewing co to this list but getting there might be a bit of a drive depending on where you're going to be located
D&Q Mini Mart is my favorite place to buy pretty much any type of craft beer in Houston. The local Houston brewery beers can be picked up pretty much anywhere, though, so the big grocery store chains (Kroger, HEB, Whole Foods) should have the typical locals, and Spec's in Midtown (Smith street) has a huge selection.
