Karbach BBH rumor mill

Has anyone seen any bottles in Austin besides at Sunrise/Whichcraft? I imagine Sunrise sold out quickly and Whichcraft is too far from me to bother during the week.

 

I've only had this draught, so take it for what it's worth: I would rather have BB8 any day over this; pretty disappointing, honestly.

 

There are characteristics that I like in BBH but since 005, they have been just too woody for my liking

 

I think that BB8 is going to be tough to beat... that one bottle I bellyached over was one of the most delicious beers I've had in a long time...

I haven't opened one of these BBH's yet, but I live in hope that it can be as good...

I don't remember 007 being woody... but it has been a while since I opened one... maybe I'll have to revisit after I open one of the new ones...

 

I think all the BBH's have all been awesome. I have not really noticed any difference in any. Still have not gotten one this go around in bottles yet, except on tap a few months ago. Which was as good as ever.

 

A few bombers of BBH left at the HEB on Villa Maria in Bryan. I'm not sure if the other HEBs in Bryan-College Station have any (Spec's sold out quickly last week).

If this batch of bottles is from the same batch of beer released in kegs last month, then we're covered. It'ssagood ...

 

Just had it on tap at Rockwell last night and much more creamy and oaky on draft.

Also to add to the rumors, BBH variations have a new possibility - ancho chilis

 

I know Mongoose tapped vanilla BBH last night, but anyone know of others?

 

I heard Reef has a special cask of Kelp BBH

 

Good luck with the 008s. I had 2 and the both were infected. Same issue with the one my cousin popped open on New Years Eve.

yea, i heard those grumblings. The only bottle I had thus far was fine (i.e. not infected), which probably doesn't hold up well for the odds of the other two not being gushers... probably just wasting space in my colder locker, we'll see I guess...

 

breh. part of me hopes this "rumor" is founded on my bullshittery. other parts of me will be like "i fuckin' called that shit". either way, it is a win for ole boogercrack.

 

The rep I spoke to seemed like someone protecting confidentialities under an NDA. That or he just isn't in the know. But for what its worth, he told me BBH con ancho

 

If anyone in DFW happened to snag more than one of these and is in the mood to swap for one, I'm game. Went to Austin a couple of weekends ago, but struck out.

 

So, it's sitting on shelvEs here. Should I grab one or pass?

 

I enjoyed this, very much worth trying. I hope they go crazy with some variants.
