So I just did a trade with a guy and he threw in as a bonus a "vintage" KBS. Im trying to figure out what year it is, the label is different. The 2014's i have say "A flavored stout" but he vintage says "a stout ale aged in oak burbon barrels" and the label is upside down. anyone know or have an idea?

I think it actually said "KENTUCKY BREAKFAST STOUT" up until like 2008 or 2009…after that it became "KBS"…never heard of an upside down label though.

    A picture would help.

There should be a bottle date in black ink somewhere on the neck of the bottle.
If the label says "KBS" rather than "Kentucky Breakfast", then it is '09 or later. '09 also had screw-top caps. "A stout ale" changed to "a flavored stout" in either '12 or '13. As far as upside down labels, I have no idea.

They only did that last year. This bottle it probably an '11, and the upside down label is more than likely a unintentional mistake.
