Grabbed this at Whole Foods yesterday, and God is it good! Stellar in every way. Brutally hop forward, but bright, piney, incredibly dank, VERY bitter, lean malt base, strong carbonation, enormous aroma. A bit boozy even. Not nearly as balanced as Kern River's stuff, but every bit as brilliant.

Best IPA I've had recently, alongside the Noble Ale Works / Three Weavers collab The Messenger.

Anyone has seen this around in the LA area? Want to make sure I grab a few more of these before they disappear.

The only issue I have with it is that damn $10.99 price tag.

or 9.99 or 11.99. But Knee Deep bottles are usually higher in $$. But when stores start to increase the prices even more then thats not right. Shame on them.
By the way, I think this is the last batch that Knee Deep is brewing of Deep River. I thought I read about them saying that somewhere. And I don't think Kern has any plans to brew it again. But never say never.

Knee deep just brewed the last of the deep river so this is the last chance to get it.

Grabbed a couple at a little liquor store by my house on the way home last night, kinda surprised they had it, but they also had Class V from KRBC too, so win win. Pricy at 10+ per bottle but worth it.

    Cheers,

Knee Deep bottles of Lupulin River DIPA should be showing up in the LA/OC area soon. Maybe this week. Not much information on this, but I think it's the same recipe as the Kern/Knee Deep collab Deep River. Did a quick search on the inet and the label is almost the same. They just left Kern off and it's now just Knee Deep and it looks like a yearly release. You should be able to find this gem in the cooler next to the other Knee Deep ($$) bottles. This one will tap very soon at my local restaurant/pub. Killed my last bottle of Deep River the other night. Just in time to restock.

Had the lupulin last night on tap. It was quite tasty. Really enjoying knee deep beers more and more.

Yes, Lupulin River is the Deep River collaboration recipe, name change due to preexisting Deep River beer.

Did it taste the same as the collab Deep River? That's if you had a chance to try the Deep River when it was out. Should be. Same recipe from I've beeb hearing.

That is great, GREAT news! Deep River is awesome and I'm very happy that we'll be able to drink it again beyond it's original (two) releases.
