i will be flying into LA and driving down to San forgo in early Oct and wondering what are the must stop Breweries, bars and shops on the trip down. Will must likely be driving down coast. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Can't go wrong with Stone! Either their Escondido brewery, or the Liberty Station location. Both are beautiful areas to just walk around, plus, you know, beer!

A kind of hidden gem is Green Flash's Cellar 3 location in Poway. Just opened in May, and has barrel-aged beers and experimentations. Really worth the time for me.

Basically, since you most likely be on coast as you say.

    I would do this:
    Start by hitting El Segundo
Then hop down to Beachwood bbq (maybe hit king harbor on you way in redondo if you have time)
From there I would make a straight trek to either Alesmith, Modern Times, or Ballast point. Then hit stuff in Sd (stone, tornondo etc.)

    Here would be my trip.

Land, head to El Segundo. Then go down the 405 stop at Smog City. Continue on to Long Beach and hit Beachwood. From there go to The Bruery. Once done there, it is clear drive on all the way to San Diego.

Agreed, but it seems like they are taking PCH.

"down the coast" may not have specifically meant that, especially since most of the trip that simply is I-5.

Cismontaine? Why? Especially when you can stop in Pizza Port San Clemente instead...
