Lagunitas Born Yesterday

All accounts is that it should be available on shelves 10/26 - 10/27.

Yes, but I'm guessing it won't be delivered to literally every account on the same day.

 

Got plenty of it here in San Francisco. That's why they call it "One hit Series" brewed only once. When it's gone it's gone......

 

You need to think slightly more metaphorically. It's basically been distributed, from Chicago and Petaluma, to every place that Lagunitas ships, within a few days, no matter how far. This must have required an armada of trucks, and carefully planned logistics. In certain places near production, they got it the same day it was bottled! In places slightly (or much) farther away, they got it the day after, or the day after that. Are you really going to fault them for false promotion? I don't think any brewer has ever gone to such lengths to distribute a fresh hop beer so quickly across a national map, not even Stone with Enjoy By (not a fresh hop, btw). Did you really expect Lagunitas to create a tap line from the fermenter directly into your gullet?

 

I was finally able to go out and get some bottles... Great tropical hoppiness and very smooth. You can definitely taste the freshness and that's what makes this beer unique.

 

Well, maybe ONE other brewer.
