I don't think that's true. Star distributed it out 2 weeks ago. I heard some stores were holding back 4 packs and waiting until the following week to sell them, so that might be the confusion.

Am I alone in thinking that SoS would taste a lot better if it were unfiltered?

    Unless I'm mistaken?

The first few batches in cans were noticeably hazier, and noticeably better tasting IMO. I know two roads starting using a new centrifuge early this year.

I hadn't had any since before they started canning and it seems to be a very different beer. Is it just me or does anyone else feel the same?

Has anyone seen any dropped in stores this week?

It does tend to vary from batch to batch. IMO it ranges from good to amazing depending on the batch, and variation aside I'll take SOS over heady all day long.

Hi Everyone, I am driving up to CT tomorrow to search for my favorite hoppy beer SoS. If anyone has recommendations of where to look for it, shoot me a message, it is much appreciated.

    Cheers,
    Jason

There are a multitude of threads dedicated to Sip of Sunshine in CT, there hasn't been a delivery in at least a week. So it's very unlikely you'll find it in stores, it is available at some restaurants & bars, check Beermenus.com

Trying to make a road trip to CT to try and get some SoS if possible. Is it anywhere to be found?

educated guess would be no in cans. Hasn't dropped in a while and is usually gone at all places within 24-48 hours.

I imagine you could find it on draft if you were just looking for that.

Of course this is the one week where I haven't gone there for lunch. I'll try tomorrow, but I'm guessing it will be gone.

Ya the best advice is not to come. Check the other threads next week to see if it has been delivered.

If you want SOS your best bet is to find some decent CT package stores and follow them on all forms of their social media. When they get sip they will post up and then you go there as soon as you can. It doesn't sit on the shelfs for longer than a day typically, although the batches seem bigger and bigger every time.

Delay your trip until next week. Just speculating here based on timing of previuos batches, we will probably see some early next week (no guarantees). If you go searching tomorrow you will be very lucky to find one 4 pack. If you time it right you will have no problem bringing home a case if your willing to hop store to store, make a few phone calls, and do some traveling. From the NY line to new haven i can think of probably 10 stores that get it, and probably all on the same day, and there is no way i know all the stores that get a case along 95. Just trying to give you an idea of how available it is if you are there at the right time and place. 90% of those shops do not put it on the shelves, and some places require the "secret handshake" Good luck!

out of curiosity, let me know if it's still on.

giovanni's really low key. always had good beers under the radar, though of course rarely to the level of SoS. still, they've been a standby for real beer for yearrrrrs. i really like that place. the guy who runs it, gary, seems really committed and thoughtful even though it's "just a suburban pizza place." specials great, apps great, the pizza is solid. /ramble
