Had Stone's Delicious IPA for the first time. Surprised at how much I enjoyed it. Different. Are there any other IPA's that use this kind of hop for their beers? I don't think I've had a beer that brewed with Lemon Drop Hops before, other than Stone's offering.
I think I've seen this hop variety mentioned in the Homebrewing forum, so that must be enough of this hop grown to be able to hit the homebrew supply market. Maybe it will catch on and become more widespread.
I just dry hopped a saison with them and the aroma is indeed lemony. It's the only time I've used them so I'm no expert. I've got another 12oz in the freezer for an upcoming brew, perhaps I'll do a SMaSH beer and see what they're all about.
Ithaca does a Lemon Drop dry-hopped cask version of Flower Power if you feel like taking a trip to the brewery
Upslope curently has a Lemon Drop Kolsch. Anyone know if that uses the lemon drop hop? I don't see any info on it on Upslope's website.
