I think Weyerbacher Brewing doesn't get the credit or respect it deserves. IMHO! First let me start off by saying I haven't drunk a bunch of their beers but everyone I've had thus far has blown me away. But once I go to the rating sites I am stunned by the much lower than expect ratings. Perfect example of this Quad an BA 87 no way this beer is not in the 92-95 range. I know its all personal evaluation. For my money and beer tasting pleasure they deserve an standing ovation these creative folks from Easton PA.

I agree with you about Blasphemy, such a great brew. I'm not a fan of their IPAs, even though I did like this one.

If we're being honest, they'd probably get higher ratings on here if they were harder to come by.

Tiny is around my house all the time during Christmas. Just perfect for that season.

Nothing I've ever had from them has wowed me. Their takes on Belgian styles are probably their best work, but they've never jumped out to me as stuff I need to get.

I like weyerbacher. I love their imperial pumpkin a lot . I have had only a handful of beers from them but every one was solid.

I've got a case of their Big Beer Variety Pack sitting right beside me. Merry Monks is my choice in tripels and Old Heathen is better than most imperial stouts out there, IMO. Tiny, Tango, Blithering Idiot, and Insanity are also solid. I'm not a fan of Double Simcoe however. I do agree that their ready availability may cause them to be overlooked while people scour the shelves for "whales".

I like them a lot but I've noticed that they haven't made anything new in quite a while. Now I see they have a new imperial stout out this week. I'll have to give it a shot.

I still enjoy double Simcoe even though it's past it's wow date since everyone uses Simcoe hops now. Heresy I think could be a wow beer for me if it wasn't so weak on the barrel flavor. Solid brewery. Will never hate on them. Respect

I totally agree with you, @maxifunk777 . Every Weyerbacher Beer I've tasted has been world class. Also, I had Double Simcoe very fresh at a local beer festival and it was one of the best IIPAs I've ever had. Can't speak to anything else hoppy by them though.

Generally not a fan of PA breweries. But Insanity is great. After I tried a bottle I went back and bought 2 4-packs. And I am looking forward to trying Sunday Morning Stout.

I really like Blithering Idiot. I would love to try Double Simcoe, but I only see really old bottles of it here in NW WI.

Weyerbacher is a good brewery, old heathen is a great stout, their pumpkin beer is great, heresy is great, but let's be serious, blasphemy is not a good brew. I thought it was like drinking a pure sugar bomb aged in caramelized sugar.

I didn't like Merry Monks and the only Old Heathen I tried was Infected so I've had a bit of a personal bias against them. Then I gave Insanity a try and really liked it so I'd like to try more stuff, but for now I'm not impressed.

I think there is an aspect of, the easier something is to get, the lower it rates. I appreciate their stuff because I can get it at my local rib joint and it is a hell of a lot better than any of the other choices on their beer list. I like their Blithering Idiot, Old Heathen, Verboten, Blasphemy, and several others. They have had a couple of duds - but don't we all.
