murky/juicy/hazy Lagers... aka: a lager that gets an insane amount of dry hopping/no filtration.

I recognize that this thread has you feeling curmudgeony so I will do my best to tread lightly here but I have had a Black Pilsner that I personally enjoyed drinking.

Susquehanna Brewing Company (SBC) makes a Black Pilsner that they brand as Pils Noir. I enjoy both the malt backbone (which is not roasty for my palate) and hop aroma/flavor profile. A description of this beer:

“We are pleased to share our innovative black Pilsner, Pils-Noir. Made from Pearl (Winter) barley, malted for us by Munton’s, CaraMalt and Crystal malts, prepared using our unique, husk-free milling process. We then naturally darken the beer using the classic Czech technique of decoction mashing. Hopped with Oregon Willamette, Mt. Hood and Washington hops, and finished with noble Czech Saaz for a fine aroma.”
