Sorry if this has been asked before but I am on my mobile and having a hard time searching. I am going to be in London for a few days and am wondering where to/what beer to buy to bring back. What are the good bottle shops and what are the good beers. Also, I am staying near Heathrow and riding the underground into the city. As a bonus can you get good beer Heathrow in the duty free?

Anything specific you are looking for? If you know exactly what you want, or exactly where you will be, you will get better advice. London is huge.
I think pubs and cask ale are the highlights for most visitors. Many of the classic beers here (something like Landlord's) is great on cask but average in the bottle (just my opinion). There are some great craft breweries, but I've yet to find a really good bottle shop in London that is in a convenient location. It isn't like Belgium where there are lots of stores with phenomenal bottle selections. The above link is a great resource, although I should mention that the Kernel (only open on Saturday) no longer has a tap room...bottle takeaway only. However, if you do the Bermondsey Mile, you can pick up some bottles and stop at The Bottle Shop (SE1 2HH) as well. In addition to the link above, you can find a few more bottle shops like BottleDog from the Places menu above (click "store" and put in London, UK). If you are visiting Boroughs Market, you could hit Utobeer (tiny but varied depending on what you want).

Utobeer in the Borough Market. Good variety with a very friendly staff to boot. I picked up a pretty good amount of "The Kernel" brews there, lambics and other great local stuff.
