Meaning behind your handle

My handle is my nickname and has a somewhat complex, 2 part history. In high school (80's), we had a friend who was, shall we say, a little frugal. His last name was May so we called him "Miser May." Well this pissed him off to no end so one night I turned it backwards and called him "Resim Yam." This caught on and led to us putting "resim" in front of other backwards words as a type of code (girl with big boobs walks by, someone would say "resim stit", etc.) which was great because nobody knew what we were saying. It was silly, we were in high school and would often be "resim denots" back then . My last name is Neff so I became Resim Ffen, then just Ffen.

Then in the early 90's we loved to play the NHL Hockey video game (Sega?). Being a Detroit Red Wings fan, I would always be them and they had a mostly Russian lineup, so I became "Ffenski." (though the "ski" ending is more Polish, Ffenski sounded better than Ffenov). And now you know the rest of the story!

My handle comes from my avatar, which is the emblem for Dick Simon Trucking. My name is not Simon. my handle is my initials followed by my HS football number then my college football number

 

Learned to skate just after learning to walk.

Sixty years later...still skating with the 35+ guys 'cause the Over 50 guys are too slow.

 

If I told ya, I'd have too....well you know the rest.

 

Hah! I never used it for anything before that, and even though I have an uncle Charles (“Chuck”), never thought of using Chuck.

Instead, I took a couple of local cartoonists as inspiration: Chaz Truog and Chaz Smith.
