A year ago, I tried Leinenkugel's Vanilla Snowdrift Porter and it wasn't bad, actually, it was pretty decent for cheap beer. However, recently I was at a restaurant and was told to try it on tap (the selection wasn't that great to begin with). I tried it and it was great! I understand the reasoning behind it but I didn't know it was that drastically different.

Have any similar experiences? And not instances of great beers that become even more fantastic on tap -- we all know that.

Lake Placid UBU is amazing on tap, meh in the bottles. Most Lake Placid beers are this way- the bottles are contract brewed, while they make the kegged stuff at the actual brewery.

Stillwater Cellar Door and Evil Twin Femme Fatale Brett. However, on the other side of the coin, the two beers I've had by The Bruery on-tap, Tradewinds Tripel and Saison Rue, were both better in the bottle so it goes both ways. I think bottle conditioning might have something to do with those beers being better in the bottle though.

Well, most British beers are far superior on draught than in bottled or canned form, but the draught version is the "real" version, isn't it? I think American craft beer is more bottle-focused.
