Planning a road trip to Michigan April 9-11. I plan to go to Founders, Frankenmuth, and Detroit while I'm there. I tried to do some research but was a bit overwhelmed. So I'm hoping I can get a few suggestions from anyone up that way. What I am looking for mainly is a few stops where I can load the trunk up with Michigan beers that don't distribution to Pittsburgh. My wife will be with me and she is not into craft so I won't be making stops and brewery A, B, and C just to do drafts. I can probably pull one or two if the foods good as we will have to eat anyhow. So my plan is just to stock up and bring it all home. Any suggested bottleshop (prefer to buy singles of most, bombers if it's a "must have") or breweries where I HAVE to stop that would have cans/bottles to go? Any help would be great. Also any beers I should be looking for as well from the " little guy" local brewery?
    Thanks!

What part of detroit are you going to/driving through? The Metro area is giant, narrowing it down might help us give you a better idea on what bottle shops to visit.

For Frankenmuth, you'll want to visit the Lager Mill Beer Store: http://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/23819/

They'll have a decent selection of Michigan stuff and a good amount of pick-six options.

In Detroit I'll be hitting up a Tigers game coming in from Frankenmuth and heading out towards Ohio to go home.

Nice, if you are going to Comerica to catch a game, check out 8 Degrees Plato Detroit. It's a 5 minute drive from the ballpark and will be worth your time to stop by. They carry a big selection of single bottles but you can also pull a single from any 4/6 pack in the store as well.

Their website is: http://8degreesplato.com/ You'll want to click on the Detroit location for their address.

    Any particular reason for Frankenmuth?

To go from GR to Frankenmuth you'll be on 96 - 69, and Horrocks in lansing would be a quick stop off in this area.

If you're just looking for a bunch of singles go to Siciliano's in GR. Everything they sell is priced by the single.

No worries. I've lived near it my whole life, so I am just used to it.

Horrocks would still be a decent stop and give you a break in the Lansing area if you want one. They have a taproom with 50 taps. So you can get a beer while you shop for beer. Plus wine if that is your wife's thing. And it is a decent grocery (more produce and fresh things) store to pick up some good cheese etc if you want to. I recommend the Cajun peanuts as well.

If you're doing the Frankenmuth chicken dinner at Zehnders or Bavarian Inn, an extra bonus will be that they typically have some kick ass German stuff on tap.

Ok I'm trying to narrow down the east side of the state. Does any of the following places sell bottles/cans on a regular basis that I would not be able to find at Champanes or 8 degrees plato?
    Kuhnhenn
    Griffenclaw
    Witch's hat
    Batch
    Arbor
    Jolly Pumpkin.

Not interested in stopping if I can just pick up their offerings at the bottle shop.

Also any suggestions on where to park before the game and maybe a late breakfast spot with good beers (game is on a Monday @ 1)
