Never too early to start planning...I'm heading over to a friends for a "brew-fest" double session and will be brewing a batch of beer at my house as well (not sure if before or after) and kegging up a hoppy amber to start dry hops. Would also love to scrub out & bleach my keezer...
Hope everyone has a little something interesting

I might have a neighbor come over to brew. Planning to do a Berliner and another IPA I think..

Need to keg a stout, and bottle a RIS from a keg.

I need to pull everything out my keezer and scrub and bleach it too.. Will probably BLC the tap lines, soak the faucets and give everything a good wash as well while I have it all apart.

Mashing in on 17# Vienna and 0.3# Carafa III Special, then heading out for my niece's birthday party for a good 5 hours or so (party is in Portland). When I get home I will run it all off into one big batch for 10 gallons then split to 2 kettles. One will get Cerara hops and a lager yeast. The other will get only late hops, Amarillo and Simcoe, and ferment with 1469 West Yorkshire. Probably going to keg one of the 2 Saisons from two weeks ago (the Allagash one).

Nice job bringing this to my attention. I didn't have anything planned, but now that I know I think I'll do a SNPA clone.

Lawsons double sunshine clone, 10 gallon batch. Just got my 1LB whole cone citra last week. Now I just need to pick up the dryhop additions when the time comes... :grimacing:

Judging at the Greg Noonan Memorial competition Saturday. Hoping to brew a lager on Sunday, since the cellar is so damn chilly this spring (two week old IPA is on a heating pad so it can finish fermenting).

For the tenth year in a row, a local craft brewery has invited local homebrewers to bring our equipment into their brew house to brew a batch. The brewery provides the wort - typically, a recipe for one of their house beers. Last year, they also provided a boatload of yeast (no word on yeast this year). We use our own hops, kettles, pumps, chillers, etc. Definitely one of the highlight events of the year for my brew club.

My brew club is putting on a massive brew day. There will be about 20 of us, each brewing our own, and there will be a lot of BBQ. My friend and I will be doing 10 gallons of a super rich porter.

Hope ya'll brew some bad ass beer!

    Cheers!

I should add that last year we had 40 brewers, many doing two or three five gallon batches.
Hmmm... 40 notoriously jovial guys, each tending to five gallons of boiling hot wort in very close proximity to 40 propane tanks, indoors, all the while sharing beer. What could possibly go wrong!?!?!?

Brewing an american pale with 25% wheat. Heavily hopped with citra/cascade whole cone hops. Still thinking on the yeast selection. WL001 or US-05 .. Last 001 brew was a little hazy and my US-05 brews always come out nice. Looking to make the citra/cascade hops really pop with a neutral yeast.

IPA project for me. 5 gallons for the keezer, then (7) 1 gallon batches, testing different hop blends and finally trying out making hop extract. Been meaning to do this for a while, but other styles been in the way. Happy National Homebrew Day!

For me, it will be learning how to brew. This is something that I've been wanting to try my hand at, but have never had the time. I recently received a gift card to Homebrew USA, from my girlfriend, and I'll be there on Saturday to get some stuff. Enjoy and happy homebrewing!

I'm planning on making hop extract with some whole leaf amarillo I have. I was intriqued by this link (http://barleypopmaker.info/2011/03/06/the-ultimate-hophead-treat-hop-extract-from-vodka/ ) and looked further into doing a homemade hop extract. In the experiment, all the different 1 gallon batches will be late addition and dry hopped, except the batch that gets the hop extract (in leu of dry hopping). I'm curious to see how much flavor and aroma come out in the extract. I'll also hold back some of the hop extract and try adding it to some other beers to see what value it may add. Totally experimenting... Cheers!
