Need some strong double ipa with high ibu

I had the exact same experience, back in 2005. A "holy fuck" moment to be sure. Coincidentally, I am about to open a DirtWolf.

My first double was Hop Wallop on cask at the brewery. I double creamed myself and immediately bought 2 cases and took them home.

 

Fresh Sculpin is IN YOUR FACE but it's not a double IPA. Just saying

Got that right. 2 is my limit. Last time I drank more my taste buds were FRIED for a week.

 

The most bitter IPA available to me right now? Green Flash's Green Bullet



Plenty of beers are labeled as 100+ IBU, but few actually test at 100. I have a feeling Green Bullet is one of those few, the finish is so abrasive it is almost chalky, coating my entire mouth for a while. Cheers!

 

OP, ignore this completely. I have seen people go from drinking nothing but Stella to drinking nothing but DFH 90 minute in one day. "Working your way up" to DIPAs or even IPAs may be how it goes for most, but it is certainly not applicable to all.

 

To the OP: Moylan's Hopsickle is the beer you're looking for. By far, not the best DIPA that I've ever had but definitely the one with the most dry hoppy bitterness.

Pass on both DFH 120 and Devil Dancer. IBUs may be high but they also have a sweetness that mutes the aggressive bitterness you seemingly crave.

 

I hear miller light is triple hops brewed.
