This is my first NBS post so bear with me.

This is my first beer from The Bruery and decided to pick a beer that I'm sure I would like, a Belgian style pale ale. I might have been wrong. This beer feels heavy but taste light, has a welcomed hop aroma and slight hop taste at the end but seems a bit lacking to me. Hopefully the sours in my fridge will out perform this one.

Tylertut. I love your bottle opener. My dad had one just like it. Brings back good memories.

Yesterday I drove down to my hometown to do a late Christmas weekend with my parents.

No new beer this weekend in Washington wine country, so I'm cheating with this beer drank Christmas night after I got home from work.

    Bourbon-Barrel Aged Abominable (AKA B-Bomb:

If I hadn't just recently had Spice Wars, this might have been rated higher. It's still very good, just not quite as amazing.

Welcome to NBS. Please visit us again, and next time please tell us about the beer you are drinking. We discuss the beers we drink here in this virtual tasting group, and leave it to WBAYDN thread for pics without description of the beer. Doesn't have to be a full review, though we strongly encourage reviewing every new beer you try, but a nice description that tells a story will get you membership every Sunday. Cheers!

Thanks @LittleDog, it was actually my father's and he gave it to me. I love it because it doesn't dent caps at all so I can keep them.

Apologies here...updating my post via a reply. Appreciated the nice notes to include more detail, especially since I failed to read the expectations (really mean that and not being sarcastic).

I work in IT and one of my buddies had asked me to fix his laptop. Only took me a few hours of tinkering to address said issue. Ultimately I refused payment and thought it ended there. It did not, as he brought back a pack of Heady's for me that he picked up along the road back from New York. Definitely was not going to refuse those...

Still a little new in uderstanding the complexities of taste and smell, but Heady definitley made those complexities abundantly clear for me in a DIPA for the first time (I'm usually much better picking them out in stouts).

There was/is a nice balance of hoppy, citrus, tropical fruit and sweetness that gave way to some bitterness over (drinking) time.

Really enjoyed my first one and look forward to trying one in a glass.

Had this new one yesterday along with some others that I had already had before. I loved this beer. Great hop flavor and a good dry finish. I've had Second Fiddle by them as well and I believe I liked this one more.

Funny I got a 4pak of those as a Christmas gift from a customer at work! Not first time trying it for me though  One of my favorite beers. I love that it retains a hint of sweet more than some other IIPA, even though it actually is fermented out more than most/all of the rest of them. It's the yeast that does it for me, it really shows off the complex recipe of hops used. Pine, citrus, grapefruit pith, peach, floral, even hints of herbal bitter are all aromas and flavors I get from it. So very refreshing and drinkable.

Hope to see you next Sunday and we can share thoughts on other new beers. Cheers!

Hey folks, so I didn't know we were supposed to leave a review, so here it is!

The Bells Mars was sent to me as an extra from @NJB145 as part of the 12 days of Xmas BIF.
It was an interesting beer to me, because being 11% ABV and classified as a DIPA, it was like a barleywine almost.
All I got was heat from the alcohol and a sweetness at the end of every sip.
Glad I got to try it, and also glad I wasn't stuck with a 6 pack of these!

Onto the Ommegang Rare Vos (actually, I had this much earlier in the day)..
This was day 4 of the 12 days of XMAS BIF, sent to me by @NJB145 as well
I can't really say much about this beer other than its a true belgian-style Amber/pale and its pretty spiced up. lot of yeast on the bottom of the bottle. A big bottle to drink all by yourself
