The second of three new-to-me Four Quarters offerings.

16 oz. can with no canning date.
Moderate pour yields a one inch white head over a murky light golden body with sticky lacing. Nose of tropical fruit, citrus, and a bit of peach. Taste is a bit surprising with more bitter flavors than the nose would suggest but still very nice. Good feel with a finish of bitter citrus pith. Overall, a fairly enjoyable experience.
Just one thing though, the label says American Pale Ale?!?
    Cheers!!

#2, this is a traveshamockery good milk stout, IMHO.

Pours black with dark mahogany edges underneath a tan head. All I can think on the nose is that this is the perfect milk stout, with the cocoa and vanilla aromas perfectly balanced.

The cacao is really forward on the taste, but the vanilla and milk sugar combine to make this a creamy, flavorful delight. Perfectly executed, IMHO.

Soft, pale yellow body; mildly cloudy; fair head (one-finger thick), frothy and sticky. Great citrus aroma; white grapefruit; lemon. Well-balanced flavor; a bit of bread crust with a bold citrus overlay; strong hop bitterness. Medium body; crisp, acidic, and dry overall; slight juiciness.

This beer exudes some well-balanced roundness. The alcohol is pretty well hidden while the relatively light grain bill and hop bitterness do a fine complementary dance. There is nothing super-exceptional going on here, but this beer offering should certainly please anyone looking for an enjoyable double/imperial IPA of the hazy persuasion.

City Built Monroe Cobbler. Fantastic milkshake Berliner. Solid head retention, minimal spotty lacing. Aromas and flavors of big juicy/tart/tangy peach, blueberry, fruit skin/seed, lemon, lime, orange, pear, apricot, melon, red/green apple, white grape/wine, hay, straw, and grass; with moderate vanilla, cream, wheat, white bread dough malts; light pepper/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light fruity/lactic tartness, fruit tang, and spiciness on the finish. Light-medium carbonation and medium-plus body; very creamy/silky/grainy wheat/lactose; some lactic acid and fruit tang/tannins in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing acidic/tangy dryness; zero pucker. Super smooth, soft, refreshing finish; zero warming 6.2%. Amazingly balanced juicy/jammy fruits and Lacto complexity; with perfectly balanced lactose and pale/wheat malts against acidity. Light residual sweetness with lingering acidic/tangy dryness. Another home run from this brewery as usual. Wow. Need to get some more. 4.25

Moderate pour yields a 3/4 inch tan head over a near black body with fleeting lacing. Head is killed by the lactose after a few minutes. Nose of coffee, maple, dark roasted malt, dark chocolate, milk chocolate, and slight fruit. Taste mirrors nose very nicely with chocolate and maple at the forefront and finish. Feel is not as nice as I'd hoped (with the head gone and taking the carbonation with it) but still very tasty. Overall, I wonder how nice this would have been with a little less lactose.
    Cheers!!!

This is going to be a weird ass experience, but I am going to do it anyway. Jägermeister & Arrogant Bastard Ale. This was fantastic. Exactly what I expected. Lasting fluffy head retention/thick foamy lacing. Aromas and flavors of huge licorice, anise, poppy seed, ginger, saffron, cardamom, coriander, cinnamon, allspice, juniper berry, ginseng, orange, grapefruit, lemon, lime, citrus peel/rind, wood, mint, peppercorn, and pine hops/spices; with moderate caramel, brown sugar/bread, and toasted biscuit malts; herbal, floral, grassy hops and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, minty, peppery bitterness; and Jägermeister spiciness on the finish. Medium-plus carbonation and body. Balanced creamy/bready/grainy malts and sticky/resinous/rindy hops/spice in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing bitter/spicy/resin dryness; no hop/spice astringency. Dangerously smooth, not overly aggressively bitter/spicy, minimal warming 8.5%. Perfectly balanced between Jägermeister spices and Arrogant Bastard Chinook hop complexity; with a nice sized bready malt backbone. Mild residual sweetness with lingering resin dryness. Yea they nailed this one all the way through. 4.23

Back home from my awesome trip across into Cheesehead Land. I got to expose my friends to some new breweries, and they both had a great time. Being the DD, I had to behave, but they also didn't go too crazy, but they both had a blast.

Now that I'm home, one more beer tonight, and it's from @FFFjunkie .

From Pipeworks Brewing - S'more Money S'more Problems. It clocks in at 10.5%.

This beer is a graham cracker bomb. That is the main flavor I get from it, and it's backed up by vanilla, and chocolate. I also get a bit of a brown sugar flavor.

    Quite tasty to me.

Pours a thick pitch black color. 1 finger brown head. The head retention isn't the best. No lacing on the glass.
The nose is a rich deep aroma. I get a brown sugar aroma. I get chocolate. I get vanilla. They're all quite strong, and pleasing.
Taste - Woah! This stout has a lot going on here. A nice chocolate flavor. I get the graham cracker mixed in with vanilla. The cracker flavor seems to stand out most with me.
The body is a bit thinner than I was expecting. From the pour It looked thicker. It's not watery at all, I was expecting a bit thicker. It doesn't really have a boozy flavor, and is smooth going down.
A well made stout. I really like how the cracker fits into this beer, because it's the star of the flavor profile to me.

This will be it, because I should behave at this point. I'll leave you all now, but I'll leave this, that I found at our last stop, back in Minnesota. This was at Alloy Brewing, and it was my first time there - my other friends have been there before.

My first new beer is somewhat of an accident. I ordered this at the Bruery, but was expecting something else. This is S'mores BBLs, a blend of Tart of Darkness & Black Tuesday, aged with marshmallow, graham crackers, cacao nib, and vanilla. Nose is dark chocolate, raspberry, vanilla, marshmallow, and cinnamon. Taste was very similar to the nose. Bourbon, sour cherries, wood, vanilla, marshmallow, and very dark chocolate. This was really good for the style, but I am not a huge fan of sour stouts. That said, I really enjoyed this one. Mouthfeel was very thick and full bodied.

Next new beer is Astral Rift, a barrel-aged barleywine from Bottle Logic. Poured from draft at Bottle Logic. Nose is caramel, bourbon, some dark fruit, and marshmallow. Taste is chocolate, raspberry, toffee, bourbon, and some nuts. Mouthfeel was thick and full-bodied. Overall, this is a really nice BA barleywine, although there are some that are better. Cheers!

Good review. I'll certainly try it if I come across it.

Have some fairly vague yet intense memories of a Jägermeister jag howling across a small valley in West Germany (above Heizental - between Sembach and Neuhemsbach) around 1990 or so in a duet with some farm dogs. Probably scared the crap out of the other farm animals and annoyed some German farmers, but, damn, it was fun!

Well, I was wrong, and, probably, quite stupid for doing this, but I'm having another beer.

Hop & Barrel Brewing, from Hudson, Wisconsin: Brew Like A Girl #2 - Harvest Saison.

I couldn't really describe the flavors I'm tasting here very well. I know others on this site could do a better job than me. I can say that I'm liking this beer, and I'm glad I'm able to enjoy one of these that I picked up today at the brewery.

Pours an amber/brown color. 1 finger off white head. The head retention is ok. No lacing on the glass.
The nose is malty sweet. There's other parts to it, but I just can't describe it. It is a pleasing aroma.
Taste - There's a bit of caramel. A slight sweet part. It then turns into something, like the aroma, that I just can't put into words (I'm sure others here could describe it better). I can say it's a pleasing taste.
A bit of a pop feel from the carbonation. There's a bit of stickiness that lingers in my throat, but it's not hops. Again, others here might be able to describe it better.
I am pleased that I got this beer, and, even though I can't put into words well what I'm tasting here, I do like it.

Maybe I'm done. I should be, though, I thought that with the last one. If you see me again, then you all know I'm totally nuts.
