Nice golden color, foggy, nice lacing. Snot locker gets some tropical fruit and berries, flavor is spot on with the aroma. I was expecting a fruity, sweet 2X NEIPA. As far hazy IPA's go, this is really good, but I wouldn't buy it again.

Do we make it to 6 pages???

Natural State Beer Co. Hefeweizen Weiss Beer. 4.2% ABV; 3.97 overall

Pours an effervescent & chill hazed gold with a thumb+ of eggshell colored head. Some head retention & lacing

    S: Breadyness, cloves

T: Follows the nose, plenty of green banana peel as well up front, some dryness too. Breadyness, dryness, plus a little bit of juicy fruit & green banana as this beer warms up, a little grassyness as well. Finishes dry, bready with faint hints of banana

    MF: Light/medium body, slight carbonation

Easy to drink, delivers great flavor for the lower ABV

    Good afternoon NBW
I am about to review my one pumpkin beer for the season. This is the fourth most reviewed one on BA and my first review for a Shipyard beer.
    Shipyard Pumpkin Head

12oz undated twist off bottle poured into a teku glass at fridge temp 4.5% ABV. The beer pours bright orange amber with off white head. The head recedes to a thin ring and single layer of multisized bubbles. The aroma is mild, slightly vegetable pumpkin with copious nutmeg and pie spice. The taste is semisweet pale malt with notable, but not overwhelming, pumpkin and pie spice flavor. Very mildly bitter as the spice provides the balance here. The feel is thin bodied with average carbonation and a mostly dry finish. Overall, a fair seasonal pumpkin ale for those who indulge in that sort of thing.

The most exciting part of this pour was digging out my old Sixpoint teku. I'm undecided on having another new beer this weekend so cheers for now and have a great week if I'm not back.

I loved that beer, @Whyteboar. I sent a bunch of those out a few years ago. Could have been me. But Russ and I tend to send the same beers.

    Hey what's going on?

I had a life changing weekend down in Pittsburgh and had to go pick up some wares. Nicely enjoyed the fact I got to spend some time at East End Brewing.

I think also lately this has been one of the few rare times in my life I

Let's see what is new for our hero today!!

Gratitude - East End Brewing Co.

Poured from the can into a teku glass. Assumed vintage 2024 purchased in late October of same year.

Creamy and frothy like forming head, billowing and khaki colored nicely. Tight bubbles and big staying power, with dollop like lacing you could scoop right up it seems. Bright copper red body, with excellent orange light rust clear tinges as well. Great looking brew.

Aroma is practically textbook classic, and takes me back to a better time. Hop hits of bright cherry like marmalade and sticky fruit. Lots of sappy notes and sticky sensing sweetness that doesn't burn but it also not overly sugary either. Toffee sensing crunch it seems you could sink your teeth right into.

Excellent and superior palate. Soft bodied with a good depth and almost creamy sensing. Palate is a great mix of hop heat and fruity to sticky malt character. Booze like cherry and sweet pine sap coating everywhere in the mid palate. Finishes with toffee and pine blasting heat, with chewy candy notes mixed in.

The overall experience is just a great classic American example all around.

    look: 4.5 | smell: 4.5 | taste: 4.5 | feel: 4.25 | overall: 4.5 | Final generated score: 4.48

    Cheers!

Light yellow body, clear; decent carbonation; incredibly thick and lasting white head, dense, rocky, lightly creamy and sticky. Soft grassy and herbal scents with brief notes of floral and tropical fruit qualities. Clean taste; very mild esters; delicate citrus notes, grapefruit and tangelo; seems a tad watery. Medium body; crisp; semi-juicy overall.

This is a great looking beer but comes across rather flat and watery. There is no discernible canning date info. Still, an easy drinker and a fair thirst quencher.

Poured from a 16 ounce can dated 10-8-24 into an IPA glass at 53 degrees.

Look- Straw, very hazy, creamy white head, above average head retention, average lacing.

Smell- Dank, pith, pine resin, orange, lemon, papaya, medium strength of scent.

Taste- Pine resin, pith, herbaceous, orange, lemon, papaya, high strength of flavor.

Feel- Medium body, average carbonation, moderate bitterness, highly prickly, mildly dry finish, mildly creamy.

Overall- Straw color and very hazy with above average head retention. Bouquet was dank, pith, pine resin, orange, lemon and papaya. The strength of flavor was very high and followed the nose well. Feel was medium body with plenty of fresh hop prickliness with a mildly dry finish. Overall this was a great fresh hop beer that really displayed Ekuanot Hops well. This beer provided a very pleasurable drinking experience.

    Warsteiner Brewers Gold

330mL can stamped A0319 2025-08-02 poured into a pilsner glass at fridge temp 5.2% ABV. The beer pours hefe-hazy in a light to medium amber depending on lighting. The head is light khaki, settles to a thin cap and leaves streaky lacing behind. The aroma is very mild, mostly bready with a hint of yeast. The taste is semisweet toasted malt with nutty and toasted bread notes before a fairly neutral, mild to moderate final bitterness. The feel is thin bodied, soft with just less that average carbonation and a mostly dry finish. Cleanly lagered. Overall, good unfiltered beer. Not something I would search out, but not one I'd pass up if offered.

I don't believe I've ever had a Keller beer in the near Dunkel style before. Really threw me as I was expecting a heartier, softer version of their pils. I'll still have no trouble working through this 15 beer variety pack. Cheers all!

    No date on can.

Moderate to vigorous pour yields a 3/4 inch pinkish tan head over a deep red body with no lacing and head is gone after a few minutes.

Nose of cherry, alcohol, and a bit of oak.

Taste is mostly cherry with booze and oak present.
Nicely tart with a slightly boozy finish.
    Quite delicious!

By the looks of the pour, it has a surprising mouthfeel with near medium carbonation.

Overall, a most excellent offering from the crew at The Alchemist, and most worthy of a drive to Stowe to try it!!

    Cheers!!!

Had a good soccer game today and wrapping up the evening with a tasty Connecticut beer! This is Tox Brewing from New London , Connecticut and their Monk's Hood Munich Dunkel, a 5% brew. Happy to share something from my homestate with y'all! This is a solid one to grab @Roguer !

    onto my review:
Sampling a cellar temp 16 oz can poured into my .5 L dimple mug. Picked up at the brewery in New London this weekend. Glad to see the style.
The beer pours a cola brown color with some fluffy beige colored head of 1.5 cm. this foam fades fairly quickly to nothing in my glass a few active streams of carbonation try to reform, but dont succeed.
Aroma is some toffee, brown sugar and light chocolate notes. Not really much hops, but maybe a little grass. No hints of the booze on the aroma. Pretty clean and straight forward aroma.
First sip reveals a medium to light body with smooth and very drinkable texture. Carbonation is very fine and gently rolls across my palate.
Flavor is similar to nose, brown sugar and chocolate mix with a bit of a cola flavor here and some grassy hop balance on the finish. Never any booze and my mug is empty very quickly.
Nice easy drinking malt forward brew, very glad to have picked this one up and enjoying the beer. worth the grab!

Okay, today got away from me. Doing battle with the leaves in the front yard took far longer than expected. And the oaks have barely begun to drop their leaves. So first this evening is the Barleywine sent to me in a NBW BIF but heaven help me I don’t know who sent it.
This was my gaming beer, we’re doing a Blade Runner game that actually requires thought and reasoning before brute force and awkwardness. Or guns and swords. Kinda different.
    Oh yeah, the beer-
Poured a dark brown with mahogany highlights and was crowned with a 2 cm beige head that left sparse lacing. Considering this is from ‘21, that’s pretty good.
The taste was figs and raisins wrapped in caramel with some leather thrown in for good measure. The malts are very well done. The whiskey barrel presence is almost gone, but it wasn’t missed as there was more than enough flavor to carry the 14.4% ABV.
The feel is viscous, very nice sipping beer. Thoroughly enjoyed this one.
Cheers all, still haven’t finished rating the circus beers but getting there.

I’m going to try and push this to page 6, still have a couple to post about.
First of the circus beers (the credit union I work for has a suite that has a stocked fridge- mostly Pepsi and Coors Light, but a little digging brings up a few craft beers.) This was the only “dark” beer there and I thought it would be my first and last pumpkin beer for the year.
Seemed everything went well with this beer except the flavor. No discernible pumpkin flavor, lactose was MIA and if there was cinnamon, it presented as charred malts. I was more than a little perplexed drinking this one.
Not sure if I will seek out a different pumpkin beer as this one wasn’t, but probably not.
Back in a few with the other circus beer.

No idea why I grabbed this one instead of the session IPA that was there, but I did.
Actually enjoyed it more than the pumpkin porter, probably because I didn’t expect much.
The pour was a bit darker than the average AAL, and I’m not sure if this was an AAL or simply a craft lager. Didn’t get any corn taste, just light bready malt and a touch of hops, all working to make a non obtrusive beer flavored beer.
Fairly crushable, would be good on a hot Summer day.
Okay, that’s what I have for the weekend, there is one other porter from last Friday but no photo and despite my notes, haven’t found it here yet.
Cheers all! Hope you all have a great evening.
