@rynegne Like I mentioned, that was from this past summer, July to be exact. I'm really surprised at the difference in color and clarity. I'm left wondering what the difference is from???

Definitely a difference in batch. I'm wondering if anyone else can share differences in coloration. TX-Badger's pour looks like a Pipeworks brew or Heady Topper in color with a general cloudiness; mine, however, definitely looks more like a Stone or Revolution - completely transparent...weird.

I swear, I had a 4-pk from this past July and each one looked like the pic I posted. I had seen others in the Great Lakes forum post pics like mine as well. I would be interested to see if anyone with more recent batches like yours @rynegne could post pics of similar experiences. Just baffling there would be that much of a difference, but who knows...?

I've never seen Scream look like that. It's always like the pic TX-Badger posted (transparent; not cloudy). I've had multiple batches and they are never cloudy. I know New Glarus makes a great effort to ensure the highest quality product reaches the customer. They pulled Berliner Weiss off the shelves this year due to a quality concern. They'd probably appreciate an email w/ the picture & batch number. The only thing I can think of is that it's an old batch, but it shouldn't be that cloudy even if it's older.

I've bought 4pks from every batch of Scream made, and the early ones (can't remember if it was the first, second, or both) were cloudy, and later batches were transparent. All tasted the same as far as I remember, so I don't think there's any quality issue, maybe just a difference in process between batches. I personally like my DIPA's nice and murky.

Guys. Sorry to highjack the thread. I'm about to drive through Madison. What's the best spot to stop before I continue my drive south to chicago?

If you're already past Madison, stop in at Tyranena in Lake Mills. They might have some bottles of Carnal Knowledge in the Woods left.

Went to woodmans east. Big Bad Baptist was there. Hadn't known they distro'd to wisconsin.

Also, how old was the scream ipa I passed on? Does Nee Glarus bottle date?

We are the Knights if Nee Glarus! Julian bottle dating. My guess on the haze- NG uses a centrifugal filter and it's easy to dial in filtration levels. I don't think it was accidental, might just be finding a nice balance.

In my experience, whether or not there's a haze in a glass of Scream depends on how well you decant the bottle.
