Hi all I'm a sheddie and have a maxi 310 cooler serving John smiths smooth and carlsberg in my shed. I had everything all set up and running well during the winter but now it's hotter my lager is foaming badly, wasted loads on my last keg. I've just tapped a new keg and don't want to make the same mistake. I was running co2 at 24psi when it was cold outside, I have dropped the psi to 12 and increased by a couple up to 18 but nothing makes a difference. Am I going the wrong way with the pressure? I have read that I could be getting "breakout" and should increase the pressure but I keep reading conflicting things. I have the pipes out of the cooler insulated and have 5' of 3/16 going to the pump. If you'd like more info please let me know, the temp in the shed is around 23-28 degrees if that helps. Many thanks
You have foam because your system is not balanced . . . difficult to correct when you don't know the beer temp and the pressure is changing. But, everything you need to know to balance your "shed" is in these two threads: https://www.beeradvocate.com/community/threads/foaming.193492/ https://www.beeradvocate.com/community/threads/help-with-balancing-my-system.248243/
