Lost Abbey Cable Car is the last beer on my Top 10. Been trying to get it since I started the craft beer kick.

Don't think anyone thinks you were trying to cause a stir, though I can't say the same for others.

From Love Park to the Spring Garden areas you're going up Broad Street, a main travel corridor, and into a pretty well gentrified area. I would be much more concerned about the distance and heat than any safety concerns.

I stayed in the gayborhood. And it was FUN! I felt very safe. Crazy parties every night.

I also stopped at Victory. I saw it on a run from my Airbnb to the PHL art museum to do the Rocky steps. They dropped a new pale ale and I wanted to try their festbier. Neither disappointed! Great spot too.

I drank the two beers I got from them tonight, both were incredibly enjoyable and well made. I highly recommend anyone who hasn’t to try their lager. So well made.

Any beer recommendations at Xfinity Live and Citizens Bank Park? I know expectations should be in check but headed to the game tomorrow. Planning on hitting Monk’s and Other Half on Saturday/Sunday. Still sorting through the other refs but thanks for creating a great resource

Went to a game in July. Found a Levante IPA (Cloudy & Cumbersome) and the Sly Fox Slugger pilsner was decent. Like you said, keep expectations in check at the stadium.

There is a Victory Beer Hall that is part of Xfinity Live. While "Victory" is part of the name it is my understanding that Victory Brewing is not the owner. Having stated that you will find a number of Victory beers on tap (and other craft brands as well).
There are a number of vendors (e.g., Brewerytown concession stands/places) which sell craft beer. As with any sports venue, lots of money.

There are also bars/restaurants with one example being Pass & Stow.

    Go Phillies!

No Harper and now no Soto so a bit of a bummer for a neutral fan. But still excited to go. Btw, looks like one of the bars in Xfinity has Fiddlehead IPA so that’s a win

Kinda a shame you will not be at tonight's game to see the debut of Thor.

I am looking forward to when the Phillies have their version of a Noah Syndergaard Hair Hat giveaway day.

Please post back in a couple of days your thoughts on the beer experiences at the Park and/or Xfinity Live.

    Cheers!

P.S. A few years ago my wife and I attended a day game and later ended up at Standard Tap (which is not nearby) for a couple of beers and dinner. We struck up a conversation with a couple that were in town for vacation (I think they were from Iowa?). The guy told me of his 'surprise' when he ordered Chickie & Pete's crab fries at the Park. Maybe some 'excitement' for you too!?!

I'm kind of surprised that nobody mentioned Capone's Restaurant in Norristown, PA. I was only there once a few years ago; was very impressed with both the draft selection and bottle shop. At that time, I had Hill Farmstead Arthur on draft, a bottle of aged Brooklyn Monster Barleywine, and some other interesting things that I don't recall. I can't comment on the food because I didn't eat there but others speak highly of it.

Granted that it's a bit of a trek from Philly, but it only makes sense to me that if you are going to mention breweries in the suburbs then bars in the suburbs should also be mentioned.

Gotta love how they don't put prices up there!

The prices are posted just not on the board. Very easy to see the price.

I was at the game the other night and had a Space Dust. Really enjoyed it.

I was really shocked that all taps are gone and it’s cans only. I got my beer from a spot that you pick your beer and bring it to be paid for so I got to check the date. Most of the stands you get what they give you.

It’s pricey but one beer I’m ok with. I had a 24oz Dos Equis(sp?) at the soccer stadium and felt good paying $12.

    Enjoy

If this thread was 10 years ago, it would have been one of the first comments. But I think with the big increase of the number of breweries located within the Philly city limits, the suburban places have dropped in the pecking order of suggested tourist destinations.

Where you watching the Eagles game tonight? Roast pork finally getting some national media attention from the Sunday Night Football production! They used footage from DiNics in Reading Terminal Market. I thought the same thing as this Twitter post.
