I thought Spandex and Reverse Swirly were the two best IPAs they make. Having said that, i haven't tried three quarters of the IPAs they've made over time.

Have you had Murren River? That was very good. Probably wouldn't go out of my way to get it though since there are so many great IPAs out there (SSU is in a smaller category and it's delicious).

I had Murren River once about a year ago, but i can't recall my thoughts. Spandex and Reverse Swirly are both on the NE IPA side of the spectrum, if that makes a difference to you.

Spandex is only 6%, which kicks it up a notch in my book. ABV aside, I like it better than Murren River. Murren River seems different to me these days. Not sure if it changed or it's my palate.

So anyone know the yield on the BBA SSU cans and how busy it is this morning?

I don't know a number but there was a decent amount of cans around 8:30, after the rush went through. 2 or 3 pallets that were 3'+ high.

I'd conservatively estimate 50-60 cases out.

Btw, I made some chocolate covered PB eggs and plan to enjoy one or two with a SSU in a bit. Will report back.

I've got one in the fridge for this evening.

KBS sold out Saturday almost instantly at $7.50 per 12 ounce bottle. While comparing BA Sunny Side Up to regular SSU and their IPAs it is expensive, I don't think the price is that bad compared to similar beers in the style, especially if it is as good as the last two batches.

On to my last 6 pack. This gets better with each can I drink. I might go out on a limb here and say I would prefer this over High West-ified and SMS (I know they're BBA).

I picked up a sixer of bourbon SSU about 7:30 tonight. There were I believe 3 pallets each stacked 4-5 feet high still.

I don't know much about brewing equipment, so does this signal added capacity? Also, based on the comments yesterday, is it safe to assume there is BBA SSU leftover today?

I forgot to post this last night:

Even cold I thought it was well balanced even though the coffee is definitely more prominent. As it warms up the bourbon is more noticeable. It reminds me more of the first batch which I enjoyed a little more than the middle batch.

Yes that will add to capacity. Those are going to be placed outside.

Anyone know the status of the BBA SSU cans? Still available tonight possibly?

As of about an hour ago, per Instagram, they apparently are still available.

Ended up going tonight and there are still nearly two pallets left of BBA SSU. I'm not even really a stout guy (especially BBA), but how do inferior beers from Tired Hands and the like sell out in a few hours and something like this lasts for potentially weeks. It's not like it didn't have the hype. Is it a population density thing?

They also still had Citra Pils, Moonstomp, Hampden IPA and Arck Angel w/Peaches. Was happy to pick up some Arck Angel as well, although it was odd that when I went to the counter with 2 of them they wanted to charge me $5 each for them when a six pack is $18. So of course rather than put them back I got the six pack.

Also picked up some Hampden IPA. Been a couple years since I had West Shore and I gotta say Spandex blows Hampden out of the water, and it's even lower ABV.

I hope the hype stays away! But yeah it does seem odd. In comparison to Philly the population disparity is obviously huge, but the areas surrounding Pizza Boy probably cover at least 1/2 million. And it doesn't seem like we're short of craft beer drinkers around here. Look at how slammed Troeg's gets every day. People are buying $13 bottles of BA Troegenator!
