    LMAO my friend

Now that USC is in the Big10, just need to find an away game with Wisconsin that matches up with a Green Bay home game. Football paradise on the horizon. And I still owe you some beers.

But, Pennsyltucky touches Lake Erie. So, yes, you have to send beer to Northwest Kiribati.

I think the most fair way to “win” would be for your region to have proportionally more votes relative to your region’s share of overall population (see this post for an example)—otherwise the most populous region would have a built-in advantage. And that’s without any gerrymandering.

Right now, New England, at just 4.5% of the U.S. population but 14.7% representation in this poll, seems to be way ahead of any other region.

Here’s an interactive map of average salary per state. Florida and Texas are well behind California, but I assume the cost of living is cheaper and that there are far less taxes in Florida and Texas. It seems that southern states just aren’t into craft beer like the north and the west are. https://www.forbes.com/advisor/business/average-salary-by-state/

Salary only tells half the story though. The relative value of $1 (most importantly, housing) is vastly different in different parts of the country. Cities like Seattle, where I live, feel this disparity acutely.

Here’s a map showing relative value of $100 across the country. Salaries are higher in some areas just to keep up with the cost of living—but don’t let that cause you to think that means most people in these states have more disposable income.

And a battle that continues this side of the border with every F-150 with red & white plates doing 50 in the left lane on I-94.

Just kidding, of course -- Wisconsin has always been my favorite Illinois state park.

BTW -- 43 isn't the speed trap it used to be? Good to know.

New Jersey. Born to parents trying to escape NYC. I’ve lived in NY. PA. Rhode Island and Utah and without a shred of a doubt if you know me, how I am. How I speak. I belong here. I went to Maine once and people looked at me like I was a sideshow act haha. maybe it’s the small town I look out of place thing. Trying to move northwest in the state though. I’m near the Tacony Bridge currently.

The first Latin America vote checking in and I feel my category is way less appropriate for the Caribbean where I live than whatever disagreements there are in the great lakes/midwest portion of the country (and I used to live in Wisconsin so it's not like I don't understand some of it).

Also, my profile lists me in a country/territory that hasn't existed for 13 years so I'm just a mess all around.

This is value of a dollar not a dollar EARNED. States that rely heavily on sales taxes burden low earners more heavily than high earners, so the poor's dollar will have relatively less buying power. California, with its hefty income tax is less regressive than most. Also, social services tend to be better there, lifting quality of life for the low end. :You can see the effect, with the wealthy moving to locations that are state income tax free (examples WA, TX, FL, NH) to escape that tax.I noticed that your are in WA. They have no income taxes, but recently instituted a wealth tax, and one WA financial services company (Fisher Investments) immediately decided to move to TX. Note that Oregon has no sales tax, relying on income taxes and property taxes for government funding.
