Possible Bad Trader: maxchio

Maybe try tagging the trader here. Hopefully he just mixed up the boxes, but that still really sucks. Those are some nice bottles. Hope things get resolved.

My guess is he is hearing from you and someone else. Give him a couple of days to get back to you.

 

If he is hearing from people and not bothering to answer back, that is a problem....I personally have no tolerance for non communication..To completely Ignore someone is not cool, especially KNOWING op does not have the right box or intentionally screwing him (not saying he is yet).. If the trade was set up here, and he has followed the rules and tried to communicate with him and getting ignored, well, its time for a "Possible" Bad Trader thread...Maybe im wrong though, but he is Ignoring messages and not showing up here.... @F2brewers am I being overly zealous?

 

a bit i think...but OP should be getting phone #/email of his trrade partner too so they can connect outsid BA if necessary.

if he doesn't log in for 2-3 weeks, maybe it's a different story.

Man Joey, I feel for ya in this one. The good in me wants to say this clearly a case of wrong brew being sent to the wrong person. However, as @tommyz mentioned, NO communication through text and BA is not a promising sign. Hopefully life got in the way and he's busy, but I gotta ask, did you not get his phone number prior to trading?

 

Anything is possible as we have seen in past bad trader threads, but would seem awfully bizarre for the trader in question to purposely ship you a box of completely different beers. Hopefully he just made a mistake. But the wrong box, shaky communication could be symptoms of someone who is less than reliable.

 

Agreed, normally 21+ trades is trustworthy, but in my experience, no trader is worthy of shipment without getting his number first. If not for any reason, just to communicate faster about shipment and arrival. Furthermore, for me, EVERYTIME I make a label there's a spot that asks for the receiver's phone number, so naturally it's (as well as his email as I attach an email notification of shipment and delivery as well) some thing I ask for. Going forward, it's a must man, just gotta do it... Hope this works out favorably, because God knows you've got the Side Project to trade, and burning that bridge is certainly something I would've never done.

 

Have you reached out to his previous trade partners to get a phone number incase the one on the package is incorrect? They may also have an email you can reach him at...Hoping for this to end well..

 

I was all for giving the guy the benefit of the doubt. But today is a week. If he really mixed up boxes than he has had 2 people trying to contact him for a week.
I think it is time this gets moved to the Bad Trader thread.

So, he has the right number, and is ignoring the messages...Sorry, imo, this is the start of a possible bad trader..Let me guess the excuse.."My phone broke"...This needs to be moved to a bad trader thread and guy called out..JMO

The answer: now. You're not doing yourself or the trading community any favors by withholding this person's handle at this point. We're close to two weeks if my math is right, & for someone who's gone radio silent both via the site & phone, time to put them on blast. It's amazing how often things get "made right" after this happens.

 

Please name this douche so at the very least I can put him on my DNT list. I think others here will want to do the same.

 

I know we've spoken about this offline, but time to out him publicly.
