Question about Odd Side Mayan Mocha Stout

Regular version is a year-round shelf beer. You can find it most of the time in pretty much any bottle shop in Michigan.

 

1) Yes, although older bottles may have harder-to-read dates given some issues they were previously having with their dating machine. Newer bottles would be clearly legible.

2) Can't help you there, as I'm in Ann Arbor. Anywhere with a good selection of beer should have it, the trick is whether or not they have it fresh. Although in my personal experience, if you have this within 2-3 months of bottling, it should taste just fine.

 

In St Joseph, MI (about 40 miles into MI east-bound on I-94), there is a store called the Liquor Cabinet (not to be confused with the Liquor Locker). The Liquor Cabinet has a great craft beer section, with tons of MI beers. I purchased a sixer of OS Mayan Mocha about a month ago. I am a big fan of the beer. While in St Joe you can catch the Livery Brewey or The Buck Bar....for fresh tap beers.

 

I agree Liquor Cabinet is probably your best bet. However, if you are in South Bend and don't want to travel too far, check out Belle Plaza Party Store in Niles, MI. Not as wide a selection at Liq. Cab. but a very good selection.
