Breweries that won’t serve flights or half-pours in their taproom. I know they have their reasons so I don’t whine or argue. I don’t even ask why. I have my reasons why I want to buy them. So, I just don’t give them my money.

ya, it is too bad breweries cannot be neutral ground where commonality (love of great beer) can be the focus instead of focusing on political differences. And for those who didn't follow the link to the original post, the poster described how he confirmed with the brewery that the exclusion was for an entire political party,

Another reason not to patronize a brewery; Parents appreciate that their patio includes a sandbox for kids, but since it's uncovered, the neighborhood cats appreciate it too.

That's so weird - my example (actually, it's #138 on my list) is how my local cat-friendly brewery, Pussycat's Pub, has a litter box for the convenience of your furry friend and parents let their kids play in it!

Great thread idea. Without adding to the OPs list, I will give my reflections on it. Please don't read too much into my responses. Many are tongue in cheek.

-Meh beer This is my biggest beef, rest of list is just nit picking.
-No, confusing or vague dating How about no dating, fuck them.
-Sexist/racist or similar discrimination If the beer is really good and the infraction mild, I'm torn. Probably wouldn't enjoy the beer as much though.
-Too pricey Single Cut, I'm looking at you.
-Inconsistent/ too many infectious beers I would have dumped them long before I got to "too many".
-Aggressions against unionizing or other labor-related issues See sexist/racist above.
-You won't buy anything AAL Well not from macros anyways
-Consistently not fresh See very top of list.
-Most offerings are in 16 oz. format This does annoy me sometimes, but I think we're living in a 16oz world now.
-Former craft but they "sold out" to a macro Depends on how the quality holds up.
-Bad brewpub/brewery service For a place I visit, yes, fuck them.
-Unappealing labels While I do like a good label, there are some beers I would buy if the label had dead puppies on it.
-Owner/founder is a prick If I don't interact with him/her and that attitude does not create one of these other negatives, what do I care.
-They don't name their beers I can truly say I have never seen this.
-Focus on one style or have been trending towards one style lately Is it a style I like?
-My ex works for them I would love to see any of my ex-girl friends, always parted on good terms. Don't think my wife would enjoy the visit as much though.

When all they do is $12+ 4-packs. When first 10 beers in their lineup are IPAs.

I dislike overly large, overly modern brewpubs, even if the beer is good. Example: Yards in Philly. I loved the old taproom: small, funky, a pool table to while away the time. They moved, of course, and the new taproom is huge, industrial, anonymous. I realize the latter is more profitable, but I have moved on to other taprooms in the area (Triple Bottom). Otto's in State College is another example of too big, too anonymous a space.

Not just music: patron talking + not-perfect acoustics. I used to have pints at the Chandos pub (Sam Smith) in London. No music, but as the lounge upstairs filled and the drinking got more serious the sound level rose. At 3 pm you could have a pleasant conversation sitting in a comfortable chair or sofa. By 5:30, 6 the sound level had reached that of a jet taking off. Alcohol, even in moderate amounts, + a filled pub = incredible racket.

Well, since less than 50% of folks vote, they might actually be catering to the majority.

Which brings up a different problem: Pop Culture references. For example, I've never seen Office Space, and pretty much the only two things I know about it are the red stapler, and the That'd be great meme. Not everyone is gonna get your hip little inside joke. If I were to visit the town where Ass Clown is, they'd likely be the last brewery in town I'd stop in at. Just like I refuse to buy Brown Note.

Metal. If all your taproom plays is metal, I won't go there as often. There's a brewery in town that makes great beer, and my friends are huge fanbois of and who are metalheads, who only play metal. So, when I go, it's usually with them, I rarely go by myself.
