I am visiting Milan and would like some recommendations -- mostly for breweries to visit, but also for good bars.

    Thanks!

I've been there a couple times, mostly for soccer games, but also really enjoyed some of the beer options.

If you're going to be near the San Siro stadium, there is a pub about a 20 minute away called Pazzeria. It's one of the older beer venues in the city, small, cozy, and pretty much only locals; about 10-12 taps, and 2 hand pumps. Mostly all regional Italian craft on tap (or alla spina, as they say). There's also a cooler full of bottles from all over all Europe and the US. The food menu is very inexpensive and I really liked everything I ate there.

BQ (Birra Artigianale di Qualita) is a brewpub and has a couple spots throughout Milan, I went to the Via Lossana location and loved it. Kind of a simplistic layout, but huge bottle selection and a quality draft selection...they have house beers which were delicious; nothing crazy but traditional styles done very well. Loved the mouthfeel of their beers. They also have a hand pump from which Cantillon Gueuze was on when I was there.

I did not visit Lambiczoon or Birrificio Lambrate (time and geographic constraints), but those are prob the main spots to hit in Milan.
