Request for More Personal Ratings Stats

Countries you are missing might be harder than styles, but I like the idea.

It seems that at least some of the stats that the site does give us are calculated after the fact (however shortly thereafter) instead of in real time. If that is true, there are benefits to this from a performance standpoint - but also a cost of adding in new stats and storing the calculated values. But I think a separate store of states, styles and countries wouldn't be too hard to do - maybe as a premium perk to offset any cost?

I think it'd be nice to have a "filter" versus just sorting, as in: show me all the Kolsch's I've had. In theory, atop that filter you can do the sorting you seek, I think.

I think this is probably a little more taxing to do than the aforementioned work, but it sure would be appreciated.

 

Knowing what I haven't had in terms of countries and states would be useful. I think I have had all of the current styles. If you want to get real geeky you can download you various stats into an Excel spreadsheet and then play with the numbers and sort things in various ways.

 

I can manually check each Us states top 100 beers list to see if I have had a beer from that state.. Does anyone have an easier way to to determine what states I am missing? Is there a accumulator , states had , states missing? Same question for countries. Countries “visited”, countries “ not visited?”

 

Could a premium membership be tied to enhanced beer stats? That would be enticing to me.

 

I'd like to see the return of "Serving Style". Please?

 

Did you get any firm response on this idea? A definite pet peeve of mine and seemingly a feature that could be easily added to those pages. I've often wondered why it wasn't part of the original design, given its obvious appeal. But perhaps there's a good reason for it.

 

On the subject of beer tracking, I never understood why each member's Gots is capped at 2500. I can't imagine that it would be burdensome to the site's functionality to allow an unlimited amount.

 

My question - who browses through the entirety of that 2500, for either 'wants' or 'gots'?

I've thought 2500 seems excessive, especially in the past with a lower brewery count.
