Rodenbach - Alexander (US Only release)

Had some on-tap a few days ago. Tons of cherry flavor without being overly sweet. I don't think I was expecting that much fruit, but it's very prominent. Complex from the oak aging and slightly acidic. All of the flavors are well-balanced. I really enjoyed it and definitely recommend it.

 

Any updates on distribution so far? Obviously has hit the East Coast -- how about the West? Looks like pretty reasonable pricing ($16, give or take) considering what American wild beer typically sells for.

 

I haven't seen any in San Diego.. My eyes are open, though..

 

Bottles hit Louisville today, snagged two at the store I work at

Haha. I'm very impatient. Especially with my favorite style. It was fantastic tho so much fresh cherry. Nothing like most of the cherry stuff I've had.
Gonna hold on to other bottle for a while for sure.
hopfully you west coast guys get some soon!

 

Where do you work, if you don't mind me asking? I live in Lexington, and when I've tried calling Louisville stores I keep hearing that they haven't heard anything. Don't want to make the drive for a wild goose chase, but this is definitely a beer I want to taste!

Hit Maryland a week or two ago. There were not any left on shelf

 

there was still at least 3 bottles on the shelf at State Line in Elkton, MD when I was there on Wednesday

Dear Lord, the corks on these are brutal. Well worth it though. It's very good, albeit a little young tasting. If you can only score one bottle consider aging it a bit.
