Hey everyone! I apologize if this thread already exists somewhere, but I'll be in Philly Saturday afternoon through Monday, and I'm really hoping to find some Russian River, especially a few Plinys and sours to go. Any walkable bottle shops I should hit up? Any pubs that are likely to carry Pliny and maybe even a sour or two on draft? What kind of prices should I expect? Thanks and sorry if this is has been answered a million times already. First visit to Philly for me so pretty unfamiliar with the local scene...can't wait though! Also, I'm coming from Chicago, so if anyone wants to set up an IP trade feel free to message me before I take off tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon. Happy to trade locals for locals if you can make it to where I'll be staying. Thanks and cheers!
Hey man, welcome to Philly! There are a good amount of bottle shops that tend to carry RR such as Monde Market and the various Fooderies. You won't find Pliny bottles as they don't ship their IPAs out here (in bottles), only sours and Damnation. Expect to pay in the $18-$22 range per bottle. You can pretty much always find Blind Pig or Pliny on throughout the city, especially at Monk's Cafe, but check out Phillytapfinder.com to see exactly where different breweries are pouring. Enjoy your stay, it really is a great beer city
Pliny on draft - 1/2 keg tapped at Monk's on Thursday. I would expect it to still be pouring on Saturday. Also, Jose Pistolas is tapping a keg today at 3ish for their anniversary party. I would not be surprised if that kegs kicks at some point during the night. Good luck. Happy to answer any questions.
Why do people say this, instead of just taking 30 seconds to use the search function? Thread from 2 weeks ago: http://www.beeradvocate.com/community/threads/visiting-philly-russian-river.323219/
