    Hi All,

This is a real long shot.

My best friend is really into beer, in particular, wheat beers. There is a bar nearby that recently had a beer that he described as his favourite beer he has ever tried. He can't remember the name however. The bar no longer has it and the staff at the bar have been unable to help. I would like to track down a case as a gift for his birthday.

I apologise in advance I don't have a lot to go on. The label features a boy/young man on the back of a bull/cow/other animal, possibly in a mountain setting. I was with his when he had it one night, I think the label was blue and the bottle was a fairly average sort of size. It is a German wheat beer. I have scoured Google and various beer websites, I am fairly certain I would recognise the label if I saw it. I am no expert on beer though so even what might seem as an unlikely answer might be right.

If anyone has any ideas I would really appreciate the help. Cheers!

    Will

Boy on a bull? How about a knight on a horse? The St. Georgan Brau beers feature St. George on their labels and they have a Weiß.

Just throwin' out ideas. Hard to believe the pub can't be of any help. Might want to reposts in the Germany forum, many German natives posting there.

I'm going back on Friday, apparently one of the staff is the real expert on it all and he's working on Friday afternoon. It's been about 4-6 weeks since my friend last had it. I asked who does their buying and apparently there's some guy who goes driving around Germany and rocks up with the stuff and they pick what they want? At least that's the distinct impression the guy gave me today.

    Ayinger's Weizenbock...maybe? It's essentially a kicked-up hefeweizen.

Any chance the bar has a Facebook page and there may be a snapshot or two with the beer in the scene?
