Definitely, in spite of everything with covid 19, the virtual beer festivals have been a HOMERUN.. keep them coming

Yes! More variety than any of my local brewfests, and I love seeing the panels. Also as noted in the previous thread, it's easier for anyone with mobility issues to attend.

For sure. Sign of the times. For the most part I personally like to entertain the thought that Beer Advocates want people to rap with. Given the level of covidity in general population, it seems only natural to proceed with virtual beery schtuff. Right?

I have done all 3 virtual fests and would continue to do any that you have in the future. For me it is great to be able to try all the beers from different parts of the country that I have not known about or been able to try yet. It is also great to be able to see all the brew masters talk about their beers and the process of making the beers. The passion that these brew masters have is incredible and it only makes people want to travel to visit them and hunt out their beers.

The taping of the sessions is great because if you cannot do it live you can always see it later and not be rushed. It is also great to share the beers with others and see them get more involved in the beer society based on the interactions with the breweries.

I touted the first 2 fests and had 3 friends sign up for Lager Fest and they all loved it.

It would be great if you had a poll or chat of breweries that people would like to see in future fests

I can help to alleviate the travel costs at least. If there’s another virtual fear you’re interested in you’re more than welcome to have it shipped to me and I can send it along to you. Would give me a great reason to pack a few extras for you Tom!

Thanks, Nick. We'll see what future fests interest me. Maybe a trip to your old stomping grounds could come up too.

From my perspective - The San Diego beer fest keeps getting advertised to me and I can't attend it no matter how much I want to. Online events at least put me in the ballpark. Even if I don't end up paying (if only Halftime was close enough to not have to deal with shipping, lol), it's good to see the discussions that are usually available to the public.

Yes, allows you to relax at home, enjoy some beers you might not have normally and activate with the community.

Virtual may be the only way I can participate in the future.

Oh man, seriously. I am VERY tired of seeing ads for that fest. I guess it has an online option now but at this point I'm so sick of hearing about it I just delete the notifications.

Dealing with actual people is vastly overrated. Plus the logistics of virtuality are so much easier. Keep 'em coming!
