No Summerfest in my area thanks to the overabundance of 40th anniversary bottled in January still on my shelves.

Because there are stacks of 40th Anniversary sitting around? That is SOP as I understand it; the Wholesale Distributors 'sit' on the new seasonal until the old seasonal is depleted. By the time you get the new seasonal it is not so 'new'.

    Cheers!

I have been seeing 40th Anniversary at all the places I frequent in Denver. I wonder if 40th Anniversary didn't sell well at all or if there are simply supply/demand issues related to COVID-19.

I've been crushing Sierraveza's lately and saw Summerfest on the shelves in NECT. I'll have to pick some up tomorrow.

Our top craft beer store in my town has no Summerfest yet. They have Pale Ale, Hazy Little Thing, Bigfoot and Hop Bullet for SN beers as of today.

Is there any 40th Anniversary there? If not then it is a mystery to me why Summerfest is not on the shelves.

    Cheers!

P.S. Maybe the local Wholesale Distributor 'manages' Summerfest in an overall regional manner vs. a per retailer basis?

Has anyone seen Tropical Torpedo since they reformulated it? I loved the old recipe, and it was easy to find. Now it's MIA. Apparently it's no longer a West Coast?

Anecdotal data point: I've seen 40th Anniversary and Summerfest on the same shelves. (Total Wine). But nowhere have I seen Porter, Stout or Kellerweiss.

I don't think they sell enough of those styles, unfortunately. I do wish they would package the classics together in mix pack once in a while for die hards. I had Kellerweiss on draft in Chicago last summer, it is a great brew.

No 40th (they used to but it’s out of stock). No Torpedo either which I find odd. In the good ole days of early winter 2020, I would rotate between 3-4 stores in the area but now I just place phone call order into to my 1 store each week the load a box in my trunk and I drive home.

Distros make their own rules. Breweries don't tell them they have to sell out one seasonal before they shelve another, but retailers also only allow so much space per brand -- so choices need to be made.

Retailers could make room for sale products, but making something a sale item is up to the distro... so overall, it's the customer who loses.

2020 will always be the year I wondered what fresh Summerfest tasted like.

    First world problems, no doubt.

Plenty of Summerfest in Casper and only ~1 month old. Man is it tasty.
