I agree. My trading partners in Chicago (Shady Tony, Fat Sam and Slick Willy) will just have to wait. Sucks.

I got a growler filled Wednesday at Growlers Beer and Wine, a store which I'm fairly sure is the ONLY reason to live in Houston, and shipped it off today from Dallas for Saturday delivery in STL. Should be awesome. A week old growler sent to New Mexico a few weeks back absolutely wowed my La Cumbre hookup. Definitely better when drank ASAP though.

Not really the only reason. Its an hour closer to JK. Just think how many more whales you could have slayed at this point if you were an hour closer.

Only reason!? If there's an only reason it's earning capacity : cost of living

As someone who usually roles my eyes at the Texas craft beer homerism palate I think this one is well deserved. It is one of my go tos.

Honestly if the beer is stored cold the whole time it won't make that much of a difference. The effects of time on hops is greatly over exaggerated. Heat is their real enemy.

I hope it is a mad house at Specs on the 13th so they can bottle more. And dammit! Put a bottled on date!

Also from the Indian Springs HEB newsletter is this nugget:

    Yellow Rose

The brewery has asked for a special release date of Monday, 10/13. So even though its ready to go, nobody is allowed to sell it until monday.

I find this to be very odd.

Lots of breweries doing this for some reason.

If it wasn't an IPA I would understand. If the release date was 1 week after bottling I would also understand.
