Well right now I am checking out all options though I hadn't mapped out to see how far Scratch was. I may or may not make the trek depending on how things go but it is nice to have options. I have to confirm where our cousin we stayed with last time lives because I can't remember the specific neighborhood. I think it was on the other side more South of Perennial but I could be wrong.

I am coming to St. Louis for work this week. Side Project does not have food, do they? Is there anywhere between SP and Maryville U. with a great tap list and decent food, open after SP closes at 10:00 pm? Thanks in advance.

SP does not have food, and doesn't allow food inside. Your best bet may be Three Kings in the UCity Loop. I'm not sure when their kitchen closes.

Just wanted to share my St. Louis thoughts:

I was there for work this past weekend. Flew in Friday (from Boston) and essentially just headed straight to Side Project Cellar. Got a chance to split a couple bottles (Fuzzy and Reflections) and had the Biere du Pays #6 and Foudre Fermier #2 on tap.

Spent a ton of time at the Schafly oyster/stout fest. Standouts there were the oyster stout, the tazmanian IPA, and the white lager.

Capitalist Pig for lunch (it's over by the Budweiser plant). One of the cooler BBQ places I've been. Loaded up on brisket and cornbread. Accompanied that with an Urban Chestnut Underdog. Thought that was really good.

4 Hands was a really neat upstairs. Games were on. Families playing skee ball. It was really dope. I thought the barleywine was good, but the IPA was the best of the bunch. From there, I went to iTap in Soulard. UCBC Zwickel went well with my tacos from Mission taco next door. There was a forgettable IPA I had there ... (Six Mile?), but otherwise a really cool spot.

Headed back for the final event at the oyster fest, the shuck off. Really cool event. It was really neat that it's not a ticketed event. You just come in and pay as you go, down some oysters, do some dancing. It was fun.
