Look guys.,....,.need your help.done work for a guy and he give keg 5tr graffenwalder as part payment but when i open it its cloudy as fk....is it safe to drink....looking forward to this all day.
What is the style of the beer? Is graffenwalder the beer's name? Without knowing anything more specific, I would assume the beer is fine as long as you have no other reason to suspect it isn't. Does it smell fine? If so, give it a small taste? Anything off there? If not, then I would presume it's fine.
It is highly unlikely that a packaged beer is actually unsafe to drink. It might taste like crap, but it is unlikely to be actually unsafe.
Which of these is it, and where are you located? Grafenwalder Hefe Weissbier Hefeweizen Grafenwalder Pils Euro Pale Lager Grafenwalder Radler Fruit / Vegetable Beer Grafenwalder Strong Euro Strong Lager Grafenwalder Weissbier Hefeweizen Pils (Premium Pils) German Pilsener Wappenbrau German Pilsener
I'm assuming it's either Weissbier. I'm also assuming, perhaps unfairly, that OP expected the Pils and didn't know about the others.
Is this another drive-by? Guy registers to ask a vague incomplete question, then never returns? OP - you still there? Bueller? Bueller?
Moving kegs around does require some slight downtime unless they are flitered. I know with home brewing, if I dont touch a keg in the fridge for weeks, itll clear out like crazy. But upon even a slight nudge, it can turn to visual crap very easily. I guess it all depends on what you expect out of your keg
Just checked again still cloudy. smell alright and tastes OK..its Hefe weissbier.no sign of best before date..
Sorry if im not a reg here, just a Irish man with a keg of beer and doesn't know if he can drink it...you knw How FKD UP that is?
Sorry, we get posts where folks start a discussion and disappear. Glad it tastes good. Beers can be cloudy and be just fine - probably normal for that beer. May not find anyone here specifically familiar with that beer, but if it smells and tastes good then should be great to drink. Hopefully you stick around - lots of great discussions, and your Irish perspective would be good to have.
From your witbiers to hefes, I have seen instructions to store the kegs upside down before dispensing, and then every few days give them a swirl
