    Puzzled in New England...

I've always thought DIPAs should be 8.0% (+) abv (7.5% for some?)
There are over 550 beers listed as NEIPAs with an abv of 8.0% or more.
    :open_mouth:
As the style New England IPA here (see link below) states: ABV: 6.3–7.5%.

I've added DIPAs that have mysteriously been moved to NEIPAs:

    :astonished:
So, my question is, should there be a NEDIPA style?

Oh yeah, and then there's this:
    NEIPA at 29.0% abv! :grimacing:

BJCP Style Guidelines evolve and get updated periodically. The IPA category alone has changed dramatically over the last couple of updates. NEIPA was added in 2017 I believe under the Specialty IPA category. The double classification starts at 7.5% in the same Guidelines.

Not exactly what you are looking for but may be the answer to some of your questions.

I was referring to the pages here on BeerAdvocate where there is only one neipa style page with stated abv parameters that don't jive with the actual beers that are on that page. I guess I could be nitpicking, but there others styles (Porter and Stout, for instance) with both single and imperial/double classification pages. Thanks for that info and cheers!

I agree that there should be an Imperial/Double NEIPA category, some of these beers are over 9%. In my perfect world....

That ABV is wrong. Beer adder put the IBUs as the ABV. Check brewery website. I sent correction to Mods.

Check out this thread, it's all discussed here. It's not exclusively a New England forum question.
