I've had the Lost Abbey and the Joseph James I believe that all age in TB's and I really liked them both. I'm a sucker for Rum and Tequila aged offerings as I'm not much of a Whiskey or Bourbon fan really even with just the spirit.

I had a tequilla gose... That seemed to be a good style for the barrel.

Had an Oskar Blues Tequila barrel ages Yella Pils, just seemed a little sweeter than normal. Didn't get any of the barrel flavors one would be used to with a bourbon barrel.

Wyders did a Tequila barrel aged cider and that was pretty good. I think the fact that it was a cider let some of the tequila flavors come through a little more.

Firestone Walker PNC is a pretty killer beer, though you'd have to trade for it.

I'm not the biggest Tequila fan but I tried two beers, Tequila Barrel Aged Mexican Cake which as fantastic and OK-Si which was disappointing.

I've only tried OK-Si from Prairie Artisan Ales. It just wasn't my thing. I noticed the tequila flavor came out as the beer warmed up a bit, but overall I just wasn't impressed. Although I will say that I may had put it on a high pedestal because of the price tag (12oz for 10.99).

For the time being I'll stick to beers not aged in tequila barrels

Odell makes a tequila barrel aged IPA called Myrcenario. And since I did have a taste for tequila [before turning over 99.9% of my brain cell & liver destruction duties to craft beer] something tells me I would enjoy a tequila barrel aged beer. I once inadvertently tried a gin barrel aged IPA before reading the description. Big mistake for someone who hasn't touched a drop of gin since raiding the old man's liquor cabinet in high school. And getting real sick.

OEC makes a Gin/Tequila barrel aged gose called Gosetequin. Very, very good beer

I've had Ok-Si from Prarie. I typically love barrel aged stouts, but this combo wasn't my thing. One of the many times I've regretted buying two of something without trying it first.....

Bronx brewery has a mezcal aged black ale floating around right now that's interesting.

I'll second Avery Fortuna - I think Tequila aging seems to lend itself a bit better to Sours.

I have aged Lost Abbey Agave Maria bottles in my cellar. I periodically drink a bottle especially when I read these comments. All aged beautifully and tasted great.

Freetail Komorebi - mezcal barrel aged tripel. It was probably a little too much barrel, but it was pretty damn good (if you like boozy). I thought the OK-Si was also pretty good, but was not nearly as good as Prairie's other BA stuff.

I actually enjoyed that beer and it's easily my favorite that I've had from Golden Road (which isn't saying much). As another mentioned, Lost Abbey's Agave Maria is an excellent tequila barrel aged beer.

I will "third" Avery Fortuna. Its a weird sour for sure, but tasty nonetheless.
