I've been trying to keep up with the thread today and thins have been moving fast!

 

I have had the fortune of trading or BIFing with a few of the Lone Star state representatives and let me tell you that they are good people.

 

While I'm by no means twisting your arm, I think it'd be fun to have like 5 LIFs going on at once!

Don't be "intrigued", be "ISO"... SO f'ing good. Even besides this beer, TX has a ton of great beers to offer, one of the more underrated states right now.

Also this. I've gotten a box from @Clarkson and had the pleasure of meeting @EA728 and @cultclassic89, all stand-up gentlemen.

 

I am due to offer an LIF too and will do so soon... Just gotta figure out something interesting to base it on.

 

Yeah speaking of LIFs.... as of right now, not sure why I'm entering them, as I don't have the opportunity CURRENTLY to "forward" it (financially)... but just know, that if I were to win one in this thread, that I WILL run an LIF... I'll keep a tally if I win any as to what I need to host. Just a heads up for if I win one in the nearish future, don't want to come off as an ass D:

 

I'll never tell someone to not run a LIF, but if you're basing being "due" on paying forward the box I sent "from the thread", don't feel like you're "due" at all, you earned the shit out of that already.

edit: I say this because I don't recall any other LIF that you've won that would make you feel "due for one", but obviously I could be wrong.

 

Got a question for the group. I don't have my hopes up, but figured I would ask if anyone has a 2012 BCBS they would part with. Have a tasting coming up where we're doing a vertical '11 through '14 and missing that one.

 

VBS 2 for the night... got this in round 3! On first sip, I liked it a lot, loved the flavors... on second sip, not feeling it QUITE as much, but still really good.

 

I won at least one, plus I got more than one (completely unnecessary) thank you boxes from folks. I have actually been avoiding entering LIFs or expressing interest in the sixterhood if it's from a person or state I have already received from because I feel like I am already "in debt". Besides, it's better to give than to receive, right?

 

Yeah I've avoided the sixterhood(s) just for financial reasons... hopefully soon I can change that though

 

This years version is an Imperial BB Mayan Mocha stout. It's thicker, higher ABV and not as much cinnamon. It's a big improvement. Oddside has done an awesome job with their stouts this fall. They were always good but with the changes they have made they are now awesome.

 

Well don't abstain from the Sixterhood because you want to "give rather than receive" ... keep in mind, receiving it comes with the obligation to send it right back out!

And you can call the thank you boxes "unnecessary" all you want, but I don't think I'd be the only one that would agree with the notion that Round 3 was an especially big success largely because of how much work you put into assigning targets, so I'll say again that you earned the shit out of it.

Nevertheless, I'll look forward to your LIF

 

VBS - Troegs Hop Back. It took me a little while to get to drink it but it is holding pretty nicely.

Hmm, I find that interesting only because there was a "14" sticker on the top of this, so I figured it was the newest "batch". Are there two different BB Mayan Mochas this year?

Neat! I really like the design on that one haha. Note that I'm not in any way slamming the one I'm drinking now, it's delicious! I just find it awesome that oddside did another version... in fact to the point that (based on my tasting of the one I'm having now), I'm almost ISO the one I just found out about!

 

Just to be clear, I liked all of this post except for the Blackhawks part
