The Locals HINTS AND HAULS THREAD

I'm thinking I may be your target. But there's still a couple more I can't rule out yet...

 

It is driving me absolutely nuts that I only have my sender narrowed down to 6 people -- I am one of the guys obsessed with figuring out senders and targets (last round I had 24 out of 26 right).

On a separate note, these clues are very educational. The big one for me this time (thanks to @_RL_ ) is learning that there are 13 states that are in multiple time zones. First round the big one was the fact that watermelon is a vegetable in Oklahoma.

 

Neat trick, I didn't say anything about my (nonexistant) daughter's volleyball!

 

Hint 1. I am shipping east
Hint 2. I am shipping to a state that has salt water shorelines.
Hint 3. My target does not have a human in their avatar.
Hint 4. The state I am shipping to has hosted multiple US Opens and PGA Championship on multiple courses.
Hint 5. After looking at seekabrew I was shocked to find one of my "local" breweries doesn't distribute to my targets state. My sixer will include two summer beers from said brewery.
Hint 6. My target is not the only participant from his state in this BIF
Final hint. My targets avatar would be nice sitting on my stove in a pot of boiling water paired with a summer brew.

My sixer is packed up and ready to be dropped off in the morning.

The stars are aligning that you could be my sender, but I've only narrowed it down to 6. (One of which is pretty unlikely)

 

Should we pick a date? Almost 5 weeks now from the date that 1st box was delivered.

July 14, if no box delivered we should step up?

 

5 weeks... that's so long. That's like telling a kid that all of his Christmas presents were bought, but he can't get them until after the Super Bowl. I'm definitely ready to step up and throw my support for this if need be.

 

No way... I've had zero of the beers in that box and they all sound sweet..

 

Let's at least wait until @Mikexw reports back from visiting the bottle shop where he works. Mike, any update?

 

I haven't gotten over there yet; it's over an hour round trip from my office so I want to find out when he's there, then will ask if things are under control. (it's an hour and a half from home, I wasn't gonna make the trip over the weekend!)

 

I am up for July 14th. It is disappointing that one person was not taken care of not to mention that it came from the BIF organizer! I see he is pretty active on the site in the forums, has posted about a bad experience he recently had at another bottle shop in NYC so he should have the time to pack a box and send it off. It looks worse and worse as more time goes by. I think @Tee2Grn has been nothing but patient and understanding through this thing.

I have already scoured his wants list and can definitely knock a few off for him if/when it is necessary.

Hopefully @The_Craft_Deviant_Rob makes this thing right ASAP.

 

It is totally mind blowing that we are even having this issue arise, let alone with the person who started this. I am glad that this has taken on a life of its own, but I don't think I will have any dealings with the BIF initiator. @Tee2Grn I would start reinforcing your porch (aka lubing up) bc it looks like theres going to be a gang-bang!

You guys are all too kind. I mean @heystevec was even nice enough to advise me to get lube. That's important info right there. Like I said earlier. I wish that it never came to this point and there is still hope that he comes through. The box that he told me I would be getting through BM sounded fantastic. The mini BIF has helped keep my taste buds active while I've been waiting.
