You are spot on, I see people talking about only using untapped these days and my response is why even bother not that I review much beer in general but if I did I would do it here or on RB not that app.

Uhh, because that's a lot of money compared to other breweries.

I love beer but I usually just don't have enough to say about it that warrants a full review, which is why Untappd is perfect for me. And so much more user friendly. The BA app really sucks. Even for these forums I always just go directly to the site on my phone rather than use the app.

Do you have any idea what the growler line was like? Is it reasonable to expect to get cans and a growler fill, or should I choose one or the other?

Does anyone know why this Milkshake was clear? I know that a brew can accidentally turn out hazy but I've never heard of a brew accidentally becoming clear...

My guess, and this is just a guess, is the guava didn't break down like other fruits in the beer. The few times I've brewed with peaches during fermentation they have turned out very hazy from the peaches.

And based on the photos from the previous batch it wasn't hazy then either.

I don't remember there being anything special for fills that morning. I just grabbed my bottles and ran.

Ok, I'll add my thoughts. I actually had one when I got home that night. I have not posted my review, but it was very good. For me, personally, Watermelon was heads and shoulders better. Guava is very good, Watermelon was spectacular. Guava is much more clear and way less creamy/milkshaky. I noticed the flavor was much cleaner and less creamy too. Guava just doesn't seem to embody "milkshake" IMO. Anyway, still a really good beer.

No, I'm sorry. I meant why as in "Why would you make that comment about beer from a brewery that is nowhere near you and would most likely never purchase?"

Seriously, what do you care? They are charging a price that people are willing to pay.

Nah, just don't get why people feel the need to complain about the price of a beer they will never buy.

Because it affects the market as a whole. If brewers see other breweries charging ridiculous prices for beer and people paying it they will soon start doing the same. Not saying its wrong, the market dictates what it can bear.

The beer still has to be exceptional though.

And to think of how they drive up the prices in the guava puree market! Look at this... https://www.amazon.com/Perfect-Puree-Napa-Valley-100801/dp/B000280UPA

Damn, there goes my idea of adding vodka and guava puree to a vanilla milkshake to make a poor man's version.

The price of the guava milkshakes equates to about $7.50 for a bomber. If you saw a one-of-a-kind beer in a bomber for that price in a store, would you still consider it incredible?

Thank you. I don't know why, I just get annoyed when people complain about prices. It's a premium product, and brewers will charge what they feel they need to charge to make the profit they want/need to make. If you don't agree with the pricing, speak with your wallet and don't but the product. If you really like the product and don't mind spending the money, then great! Buy it and happily drink it.

But its not a bomber its a can. We can play this what if game all we want but whats the point. I'm talking about the product they are selling. Im not going to speculate on something that doesn't exist.

Not to mentions bombers and cans are different products and priced very differently, Do you honestly think if Tired Hands put this in a bomber it would be 7.50?
