Damn, really? I don't see anything about it - is this a ticketed event or something?

To those that were NYE event ticket holders they are giving us first dibs to either the dinner or tickets for it. I’m assuming it’ll be a lottery like their usual releases in the next few weeks.

You know TG, they cant spare good talent for such a cheap event...

Was actually suppose to be their first mix 12 pack from what I understand but it was pushed back due to a lack of Galaxy and tank space. It has been some time since I've heard anything about it directly, but the brother seen a friend over Xmas who said they now have the labels for each of the 12 oz cans in the warehouse. So Ive got the fingers crossed its coming soon, I need me some DDH Sue.

So $30 for a 12oz bottle but must pay $125 altogether for a glass and steak dinner with it…plus the option of buying a second bottle that must be consumed on site? Right…

Don’t worry, “Tickets will be sold individually with no limit to the number one party can purchase”.

What the hell is with their wording. Am I dense or did they have no need to add the first half of that sentence?

Whats even better is how much this bottle will command even with it being a bait shop/ TG collab.

I don’t even know why they are doing this as a timed release given how few bottles there are. If my math is right, there are max 500ish bottles, which means there are max 250ish tickets, which realistically probably means more like 200ish, right? And then people can buy more than 1 ticket for more than 1 bottle which means, 100-150 people will actually be making the purchase.

Just do a random draw. Seems asinine.

(This conflicts with a work trip, so I have no skin in the game anyway. Just seems like the epitome of stupid. This is coming from someone that hasn’t bagged on TG in years beyond the typical wise crack about profits yadayada.)

If I’m thinking about their release dinners in the past it’s usually about 150-170 people there and that’s with the place shut down, so the fact they are leaving the bar open to serve appetizers to the general public makes me think they’ll be even less tickets than that so it’ll be very limited amount of bottles.

ultimately this is a way for TG to get extra money by selling a dinner and a chance to buy a very limited beer which honestly sounds fantastic, a non-adjunct single barrel beer.

could care less about the starks part, although starks has been with TG since the start and the owner has his own stock pile of rare TG beers in the cellar so it’s probably more of a thank you for being with us from the beginning.

My memory is a little hazy on the last release, but if I remember correctly you could still grab bottles a month or so after the release at the taproom . So I would assume demand will be medium to low, as no one I know really cares at all about NT or this release.

The first time I ever visited their taproom, they just happened to have it on tap. I really liked it at the time, but that was so long ago that I have no idea if it would be anything special any longer. I'd like to try it again just so I can see how much my tastes have evolved since then.

This has been a standard disclaimer (advice?) on their release pages for lotteries and such for - I want to say - 2+ years now. I recall seeing it sometime in early 2021 or 20/21 timeframe for sure.

Seen the mix 12's today on the shelf at Woody's for 19.99. First time being able to grab one and might I say this is one hell of a good deal. The G nug is tasting fantastic, Pompeii is always good, and the Sue is the freshest I could find. All of them were canned 11/30/21 This is a nice find for once as the pack was dated 11/03/21, so I figured everything was canned on or before. This was only the Dorothys, what a win eh?

So besides this good news, the selection in Green Bay where I was was pretty bad. Most cans where close to being out of date including King, 16'ers of Pompeii and Sue, and Forced Flair(which was priced at 24.99 for some reason??). This isn't just TG either, about 80% of the beers I came across were in this out dated category. I feel like there may be some interesting times ahead for a lot of breweries...

To give everyone an example my normal bill in Woodys is around 250-300, I walked out under 160.

It’s always amazing when they get a higher yield than expected, especially when the yield goes from 2PP to 12PP. Or you didn’t sell a lot of tickets.

either way not complaining it’s still a solid whiskey Carmel deliciousness, however the barrel is more muted than the 1st

I bought some over the weekend but I haven't tried it yet.

I generally don't appreciate beers like this, but I am curious. We'll see.
